New Grower Hugo's Backyard!

Today was feeding day. The plant is looking great and not stunt at all. Had a minor burn for Over feeding, that I corrected with a week feeding with ph water only.

Today I gave her 1/2 of everything: Fish-mix, Alg-a-mic and Bio-Heaven. I also decided to put her on Piranha regime since she's still very young. I really think that roots are somewhat underestimated by new growers. I think that a healthy exterior is due to a healthy interior, and this is MJ's root system.

On that same subject I need some help with a decision of transplanting to a Air-Pot. Is it ok to transplant a Auto-flower with 1month or I should better stay foot? And what about my photo of the same age? no problem there, right?

Transplanting is fine as long as it's done carefully and there is as little disturbance of the roots as possible. Those pots look very small so I think they would need to be put into larger pots anyway. I'm not a big fan of using those terracotta pots for growing weed. They tend to dry out a bit too fast for my liking.

Thank you Muddy, I'm not so sure about what you say on the size of the pots. Perhaps it was the angle of the photo.



This terracota vases, are more a matter of aesthetic taste vs the price of other aesthetic looking vase. My lady has a say on that. That's why I'm considering a smaller air-pot so I can put it inside the terracota.

I've decided to add FullDuplex great advice on watering (on sticky).

The idea is give water pumped with O2, instead of just plain water. This is supposed to help the growth of the roots due a enriched soil with O2. It really makes sence so I went and bought myself a cheap oxygen aquarium pump, for under 10€, and let it oxygenate my water while I'm out of town for a couple of days.

My last feeding was on Saturday, next will be Thursday or Friday depending on the soil. Last feeding showed no signs of over doing in my small auto-BB. She's so small I'm a bit sad. It must be a combination of factors that started with root sprouting upside down and the small amount of sun hours, mainly because of bad weather.

I'm hoping that with Piranha and the oxygenated water she starts to grow stronger and faster, otherwise I'm lucky to get 10g out of her. I'm trying to use every trick I can discover, so please don't be shy sharing your knowledge. I appreciate it dearly.

Oh, and Muddy, I'm starting to agree with you on the terracotta pot because they accumulate salt from the nuts on the borders.

Looking allright there Hugo. Next time you start some auto's try doing it inside under a couple of cfls. If they spend the first few weeks inside being waited on hand and foot it'll save you tons of hassle in the long run. I can't wait to see how that hazexnl5 turns out!

I hear you on that. Do you have any advice about convincing your wife it's acceptable? Our family visits often... so it's a no-no so far. I'm finding myself daydreaming about renting a cheap place to grow my other ladys but... oh well...

Arrived today from work and the medium is still wet! No sun, some rain, lot of humidity and medium to low temperatures in the air don't help to dry the soil. Makes me think that cannabis, despite all this attention I give it, is still: a weed... and like a weed, will proliferate through thick and thin. Day in day out the sun shows up, but it keeps thriving. In about 10 days the sun will shine and then my auto BB will really start to grow... hopefully.

My HazexNL5 is looking super. she's growing quite well despite all the adverse conditions. She got one tip burned from last feed, so on saturday she'll get only 1/2 dose micro nutrients and no macro nuts. I neet to start thinking wether prunning or bending or nothing. I have this attraction for a method to get 4 big colas instead of 1, and that is achieved by cutting right after the second node. The growth hormones will go all from that main stem to the 4 lower (and only) branches. That way I'll also be able to practice some clonning. After I can also do some LST with those four branches. I dunno, if someone has tried it before I appreciate sharing some knowledge insights.

As far as the wife, I did only one plant the first time and that took some serious convincing. Once she saw that first huge jar of pot all doors were opened.

I use lst to get multiple colas, works great.
