they're very similar... i think the real difference is one is considered a strong cleaning chemical in high concentrations... and would clearly also cause a chemical burn (kinda like described above)... but basically it doesnt matter which it is... its got to stop.... lol
the new growth looks good... might not need to flush at this point....
remember old growth with issues usually stays for the plants life...
