Microwave? On high for 20 minutes? More trichs? don't really see that as a real good idea but if it works for ya I'd keep it a secret. Microwaves emit radiation. Radiation sterilizes shit. Shit doesn't grow without a primary producer. If ypure slapping seeds in a microwave for 20 minutes I'd say your damned lucky if they pop much less grow and emit more trichromes. Jm and the others hit it short term just about anything will work. More than a month or two they ought to be stabilized a bit more just so they maintain some freshness about them. I have frozen some although ice seen a couple breeders advise against this. The way I see it if this stuff was growing wild where I live its gonna freeze at some time and in my opinion it may actually help the seed mature. The main key is not the temperature so much as long as its not sweltering hot. Room temperature is fine. dark is best. And dry is a must. It'll take close to a week for the seeds to loosenafter ya chop mom down or that's how long it takes mine. From there leave them someplace dry for another week. I'm germing seeds that are 3 weeks old at the moment and they haven't been hurt. They take a bit longer to pop but they are popping.
Note: sorry missed the end of the line. Didn't realize it was a joke.

ive already posted this picture in my thread but i though it help you out.

i use a plastic vial, dessicant (FRESHLY DEHYDRTED IN THE OVEN) is on the bottom to keep things dry. then some clean cotton so the desiccant doesn't touch the seeds. the seeds i clean one by one by hand, i remove anything that falling off the seed (seed coat has a papery coat on it, forget the name) i also squeeze each one in between my fingers to make sure they are healthy. then i blow on em to really make sure they are clean.

the oils from the bud seem to act like a wax coating. when i clean each individual seed i really coat the seed in an even layer of the oils, it polishes them and i bet it will help with long term storage.

ontop of the seeds is another thing of cotton. i close them up, put a label on and then store them in the center of the refrigerator.

The little vials i have in the picture each have 5 seeds in them. they are the same setup as the bigger vials. these tiny vials are the packaging taht ill be selling them in eventually. i like the eppendorf pcr/microcentrifuge tubes as opposed to the big vials because i dont have to worry about one bad apple spoiling the bunch.

good luck with your seeds!

im looking into seed treatments right now. there are so many helpful chemicals that can be sprayed on seeds to increase shelf life and germination.

LOL MAN! THAT WAS REALLLY GOOD! THANKS! where i can get those dessicants ?

i use laboratory dessicant, but silica can be bought at craft stores and damp rid (2x check saftey of indicator) can be bought at most stores in the cleaner aisle. ebay is the best though, they have some amazing orange/blue silica dessicant which is non toxic. im going to start using this in the packaging for the seeds that i sell. those pcr tubes that are in the picture i got for free, several hundred of them. i found the link on this site, i think the thread mentions free storage tubes for pollen.

i just ordered some orange and blue pcr tubes. ill be using the two colors for my two strains. really love playing around with all this packaging and labeling stuff.
