Lighting how much do hps light raise your bill?

Thanks man well as far as yield it would be my first photo grow so what should I expect? If I can find the right tent and light setup I may order just another single photo seed instead of blue dream..if u have any recomendations :smokebuds:

But I put most of my cash into my autos which I am now trying to keep a steady flow of and I need to get a few things for them so if I can get a large enough tent to fit 1 or 2 photoperiods with a MH/ HPS strong enough for those 2 for for less than $300 I'd be happy..

But I no nothing about photos so I'm not sure how much wattage of hps lights ill need for 2 max, or size tent..:smokebuds:

I would do a single pot or DWC scrog!

grad and pig are right! alot of my buddies have been rolled up on by mr one time(po po) lol, the heat generated by hps with thermal infared blocker is a very good way to get busted! as well as a electricity spike! electric companies will alert authorites if a big enough electricity spike occurs! my buddy works for one and he told me! lol friends in high places! now when it come to leds, blackstar is a very good start because of price like grad said! now if you wanna go balls out and get a hydro grow penetrator? that would be THE SHIT! the difference is i got my bs 240 for 280$ shipped, penetrator 336x pro is 2,000$ but it is king dingaling! led is no heat, no sound, pennies a day on your elec bill and if you get a good one they can produce very good grams per watt ratio! leds are also not measured in lumens light other lights! there unit of measure is PAR! the stronger the PAR the better! try to stay clear of the 1 watt led, 3w is good but 5w is awesome! i would put my blackstar 240w uv alone up againt a 150 hps head to head any day! whats your budget? and any of us will be glad to help you!

i agree man ive never had any trouble here in the states and the power company is probaly happy theyre getting more money anyway i was just more concerned on how much more money it will be being that i dont pay the bills around here

things are fine with my current 400w setup but if i threw another 250w or 400w in my room im wondering how much more money it would tac on to the bill :smokebuds:

With all due respect bros, whether you "buy into" the theory or not, the reality is that the smart electric meters that are being installed track your electric usage in intervals of 1 hour or less (many track minute by minute). This data is transmitted back to the power company and can be easily analyzed to determine not only how much power you're using each minute of the day, but in many instances they can determine what types appliances are being used minute by minute.

With these meters, they are easily able to tell if you have 400W, 600W, 1000W of power that comes on for exactly 12 hours every day and any LE agency can access these power records. The smart meters are only in about 10% of homes, but there is a massive push to convert all homes to these smart meters and homes are being converted every day. In the majority of states, the customer does not have a say in whether or not these smart meters are installed on their homes.

Facts are important, and power consumption is DEFINITELY something that you should be concerned about.

An electric space heater is 750w low and 1500w high you know how many families got 1 or 2 of them running in rooms in the house now? Oil is thru the roof expensive, and a 3000w of electric heat @ 12hrs a day... would run you 300 a month... nothing... 1 ac in the summer 1500w... pool pump 3000w and its on for 8-12hrs...

I had an apartment once with 3 room mates.. our electric bill was 200 a month no heat or grow lights...
