New Grower how long should i keep see before planting

i harvested a few lr#2s with seed 6 weeks ago.let dry a week and placed in rice <uncooked> after 6 weeks i tried to germinate 10 in wet paper towel.30 hrs later no sprout.do they need to sit longer.seed are all large brown to black looking.did i not do something right?advice

i have several hundred lr#2--and 50 or so deisel ryders--with 75 cronic ryders---all about the same age.need advice

i use a pocket knife to scrap the sides of the seeds at the seam.

i germed some pj's i grew i soaked them for 12 hrs then place into a wet papertowl 4 of them took 8 days before they popped so just be patient maybe crack a couple open and see if they are healthy in side
