Lighting How bad is this light really?

You might also consider AutoCOBs, with these having a good reputation, many users, and the manufacturer represented here on AFN (and likely an AFN discount available). I and many others use 1 AutoCOB per plant.
True, true. The same budget, actually a bit more would get three of these. If you are using an “autocob” I highly recommend the reflectors.

I was checking out a auto cob grow and I was blown away with the weight the guy pulled with just four of them it was huge. For the price they are wicked.

Bingo! Get some of those nifty wago connectors and your off!
My wall O drivers.

I like your setup. I had one similar but smaller in size, using the pink insulation board with the reflective material attached to it and hung 2 auto cobs from cobkits.com and 2 of these from these from HLG. Can't remember the driver I used but I got it from mouser.com too. I like your wall of drivers as mine was attached to the back of the homemade holder/heat sink. Now I putting the 3 outside in daytime to utilize the sun and I bring them in after work and put them under the lights till morning. (running 20hrs light 4 hrs dark).

The blurples are pretty bad compared to the more modern LEDs. But if you and your girl combined only go through 1 ounce a month, Your current light will be able to yield that. I used to use one of those blurples for years doing Pheno hunts and seed runs.

If you do upgrade, and have any space, I would throw that blurple into a 2x2 and use it for early veg. You can shave off 2-3 weeks on your runs easy, and use the 2nd tent to dry in to keep the perpetual harvests rolling

still in the process of upgrading, still not dead set on the lamp I want. just waiting for the funds to come in the mail, but when I move I plan to have a dedicated grow room for your Idea. This is them today, I'm hoping to catch most of the flower with the new light.

Your plants look great.

Willie's DIY QBs would for sure be the most bang for your buck if you're even a little comfortable with electronics. But if money is tight, you could definitely make do with what you have for the time being.

These new lights are amazing but it wasn't long ago when we were all still using inefficient HIDs, T5s, and Blurples and still crushing it. You can increase your yields with techniques, and when you do eventually upgrade lights you'll knock it out of the park.

Love the username, btw. Skål!

I honestly have no clue what I'm going to get, I'm sure between the HLG, Mars, I really cant go wrong. I might just draw a name out of a hat between the HLG 300l or the QBs, Mars FC or FC-E lights

Do those carbon filters actually work? I ordered one for myself
Literally the MOST IMPORTANT bit of kit if you live in proab country's even if u are growing on a window sill that plant is going to get stinky DONT CHEAP OUT ON CARBON FILTER AND EXTRACTION.

Genetics , medium and filter are essential the rest less so light being close after work on building a stable enviro first and another bit of advice with canna equipment buy cheap you will buy twice

Hope you find ur self some massive buds

I think we forget , The trancision stage with new lights . The increase in plant nutrient demand . ect , to get the bigger yields . The light will do it , I have 9 Cobs for 450 watts , yield mad me very happy , I have Q boards now just have to put them together . Call it progression . Get the best you can afford Mate , - Grow medium - Light - are what counts , plants , just do as good you understand the first two .

I'm using my safety bonus from my work plus a check from a auto insurance screw up. So basically the longer I wait the higher my budget is. A part of me wants to wait to get a 600r but 2 diy 260 kits are on sale for 778 so it's just timing. I'm in Canada as well.
