all aboard.
The equation really does correct itself over the long haul. I'm growing four autos at a time so I'm easily getting well over $250 worth of pot (that I now do not have to buy) from each View attachment 33506View attachment 33507View attachment 33508View attachment 33509View attachment 33510View attachment 33511View attachment 33512plant in 7-9 weeks. That's about what I paid for each of my four panels hunting on ebay. Sometimes you can find em on there cheaper than retail. The way I see it was after 9 weeks I'd recouped my investment and will continue to save a lot of electricity plus not have to replace any lighting in my set up for the 3 years they're under warranty. Yes plunking down a g on lighting is a bitch but not that bad when you look at the long term win(s).
Speaking of leds got my new one in the mail today, very different from the first 2011 PG 180s I've got (the old 250 as well). Snapped some pics to illustrate the one with a lot of blue and violet is my new one. Has 14 bands as opposed to 7 on the old, plus it looks like they moved a shit ton of stuff around. The old ones didn't have high kelvin diodes in the flowering bands, now they do.
Anyway took some pictures of a plant I just trimmed to get everyone's (if you care to chime in) feedback. I've found I cannot tuck autos so have been trimming the fan leaf once the cola growing from the fan leaf I'm about to trim is established and sprouting its own leaves. I found this increased average yield and promoted better cola development. I usually trim at least the first two sets of fan leaves off when the time (IMO) is right. If you disagree with this method, its cool, please chime in and let me know what you're up to in your garden. I arrived at this method through trial and error like most other current practices in my garden.
