DSC00898.jpg Hope that's not the case round this neck of the woods. Anyone wanting to see the evolution of my closet from 2 400w air cooled hps to led only can DSC00894.jpgread the beginning of the journal here
http://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/443586-pro-grow-led-run-1-a.html

The current set up is as follows - 2 DSC00890.jpgearly 2011 model 7 band Pro Grow 180s. 1 2010 model Pro Grow 250. 1 late 2011 14 band PG 180. Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Pro Mix Soil. 5 gallon SDSC00889.jpgmart Pots. Four autoflowering plants.

Right now I have one fem Sweet Caramel going along with 3 reggie seeds from short stuff (could be any of theiDSC00886.jpgr strains I mixed them all together - adventure time!).

I have an order for more fem seeds that should arrive w/in the next week (hopefully) and wDSC00855.jpgill include pineapple express from Barneys, Super Sativa, Blackjack, and two mystery free fem seeds that will hopefully not be photoperiod plants.

ok the spacing got a little weird on me there but you get the drift. Those were my previous grows on RUI. This grow is about a week old, I'll update with new pics this friday when they will be approximately two weeks old. Using Bush Dr. Mircrobe Brew, Cal Mag Plus, Tiger Bloom, and Sledgehammer nutes. Purified water only. PH digitally tested at 6.5 to 7 at any given day. Constructive comments and suggestions welcome and appreciated.

DSC00933.jpgDSC00930.jpgDSC00931.jpgDSC00932.jpgHere is the current run as of 1 week old. Under veg only spectrum except for the fem caramel cream under the PG 250 as it is a 2010 model light that only has a 1w veg chipset but still has the 3w flowering chipset - figured I'd go ahead and run full illumination given the weakness of this model's veg chips.

For reference on my last grow with four fem seeds (MI-5, Smurfberry, Santa, and Sweet Caramel) I was able to pull a tad over 5 oz dried. Phenos ranged wildly - anywhere from 61g (smurf) to a pidly 16g off the MI-5 which was a shame cause I've grown MI-5 before and it kicks ass. I've had them yield over 50g before this one was just a super tiny pheno.

That is the one drawback on autos which has not deterred me from growing them exclusively. It seems despite my best efforts for every six plants I grow one ends up being a limp dick half oz yielder. Guess nobody wins them all.

welcome to AFN
another auto grower joins
the ranks...welcome home!

wow another man with a similar setup to mine understanding that led+auto=perfect small time setup. i feel you on genetics bro its dodgy you have to isolate what you like and breed it to get the ladies you want. I've been messing with purple jems for a while to get a short medium weight albino version of that. think i have it down but only time will tell. much love to you since i left RIU because of the haters as well.

Yeah T-shirt I recall some conversations from a while back on RUI when I was first getting into the leds. It was FD that actually lured me away (and the 3rd grade grammar general childish behavior prevalent on most RUI threads).

Nice work with the blackstars btw Ninja. I was torn between those and the PGs, in the end it was the warranty that got me to spend a bit more on the PG, but looks like your blackstars have served you very, very well.

Thanks to all for the kind words. Lookin forward to civilized conversations. I plan to keep regular updates every Friday. My new 14 band arrives from Hydro Hut tomorrow, my seeds hopefully soon. I hate wasting time growing what could be a male plant as my state's laws only allow me to grow 4 at a time unless I want to tread into felony territory, which I refuse to do for some free smoke.

Concerning the genetics you're right - never know what you're gonna get with seedbank autos (although some brands are far more reputable than others). I actually made my own, dubbed "BlackBriar". A super stud Auto Assassin male was crossed with a Lemon G Photo period. Resulting offspring male autoflowers were then bred with MI-5 female. Been over a year, got it mostly stable. Buzz lightyear is holding a Black Briar nugget in the picture in the first post. I've been reading up on how to feminize it but haven't had the time or energy to get serious about it yet. I do intend to as I really like how it turned out. Any tips much appreciated.

lol im stealth for a reason so i feel yah on the law part. i run a tent with t5ho fixtures for seed-6week then pop them in the closet for weeks 6-12 then harvest. just now starting this rotation so we will see what happens. I will be coming home for work soon so i might order 2 more lights and add another 12 ladies into the rotation for a total of 36 ladies finishing up at any given time. my goal is to have an average of at least a full elbow every 6 weeks. might be able to get it to a consistant 19 zips if i get all my variables locked down.

Nice work hoss, glad to have another LED grower on board! Check the breeder's den, they have a little info in there on which types of silvers are preferred for femming seeds. Can't wait to see how your grow goes. :smoke:

This is like my favorite pic ever btw lol.

Welcome aboard, some VERY friendly and helpful folks I have found here. I think you will like it here and know you have found a good landing site. Mind if I jump on board your journal? KG
