New Grower Honey's Journey

:pighug: You've been a trooper Honey!! You hung in there when you could have just thrown them out and quit. I'm not sure what went wrong with your plants but they are unique looking! Why don't they have any side branches?

On a positive note you managed to grow a weed stalk! Lol! If it grew tall enough, and you climbed it, were would it take you? Ponder that one on your next smoke break :smoking:

How can they have a powder to mix with water to test with? Wouldn't the PH of the water you're starting with affect it? Unless they specify to use R/O filtered water. All the calibration solutions I've used or seen come as liquid in a bottle. Pour enough in a shot glass to be deep enough for the meter and go.
They say use distilled water

So I'm wondering do I mix one solution with distilled water an adjust Ph until it hits what the package says and then do the same for the other package??

thanks.Your absolutely right. I felt like giving up an tossing them out but then I started thinking. This is my first round I need to go through the worst an try an get myself out of it, that's how I will Learn and can overcome anything for my next grow. I got so much stuff because of the problems with these ladies if next round something goes wrong I'll deff have the cure lol. It will be some time for my next round idk how long but deff can't do it here. I'm a nerve ball.

There should be a calibration button, setting, mode, or something on the PH meter that you use with the solution. Most all meters out there are set to use a 4.0 and a 7.0 solution for calibration. So you'd mix up the 4.0 solution, then calibrate the meter with it's 4.0 calibration mode. Then do the same for the 7.0 solution. (I know they aren't 4.0 and 7.0 exactly, that's just the normal numbers that I've seen so easier for me to remember while typing this out)

Basically, if used with distilled water the powder will create a solution that is exactly the advertised PH so it can be used to calibrate the meter.

There isn't a button but I have this thing I gotta turn with a little screw driver it came with. Thanks for all the help

I have the same PH meter you do. You need to get the calibration fluid in order to calibrate it. I'm assuming the packets are just a powder form of that you need to mix. Personally I haven't found the meter to be very helpful or reliable. I went to the pet store and bought the PH tester that uses drops and I think it is much more reliable and cheaper.

Egh, figures I haven't caught a break yet. Well hopefully I'll have better luck
