Live Stoner Chat Holden talks today

I found this CNN video very interesting. Especially how this documentary was months in the making yet it comes out right after Holden's announcements. I felt like it did present an unbiased opinion for the most part. There's parts of the video where you find yourself saying what about tobacco or alcohol but I think they took the right approach overall.

Regardless of what politicians want to happen weed will be legal. I see it happening on a federal level within a few years maybe sooner. The truth is finally mainstreamed and there's nothing the government can do about it now.

That was the most effective pro-cannabis documentary in terms of being able to get people off the fence, and for cannabis. I hope it gets alot if run on the network, and doesnt just disappear. It is something people need to see.

Its just talk..all the info anyone could ever need for the next 10 years on MJ is already out there..Too much info can be a bad thing though and be used to separate people into weaker smaller groups using stereotypes and word magic.Im sayin just leave me be..where is the victim in growing my own MJ?No victim no crime.

If the law was changed they wouldn't have to let anyone out, they still broke a law. Like being grandfathered in when a new law is added. I agree with defusing a bomb. The mj issue has been pushed long and hard. Its along the lines of what Terence McKenna said. As long as we are hiding in the closet amd tucking our stash we will never get anything. I dont walk down the street smoking a joint or post pictures hitting a pipe but I am very vocal about being pro-pot/hemp.

Great points guys! Interesting things to ponder, that's for sure!

I agree that was a good medical video, and recreational video as well. I always love the honest comparisons to pharmaceuticals. My seizure meds, which I quit taking about 3 weeks ago, have given me bitch tits and have keep my thyroid stimulating hormone elevated by a couple hundred percent for roughly 3 years. I didnt put it together until I sifted my way through 290 pages of va medical records writing down precription dates and things I told my doctors. Ive went from 152lbs to just under 170 in about 2 weeks. The part where they dial in on brain activity in tue frontal lobes is exactly where my seizures start. Front left eventually arking to my rear right. I need to find some charlotte web!

The tenderness in my man tits is almost gone as well! All hormones were always within normal ranges.

I'll believe it when it actually happens. Kinda like when a friend told me "We're pulling the troops out of Iraq in July!!!" and I said "Well then talk to me about it in July, because until then it's just more bullshit." That's not to say I'm not pleased to hear it. It's just that, well, government.

I still don't get it, he hasn't had the time to address Colorado or Washington about their legalization but he does have the time to completely change federal punishment laws?

This also annoys me, but to speculate: I think he's saying this specifically because of WA & CO. I don't think the government expected two states to legalize at the same time and I wouldn't be surprised if they thought CA would be the first. It probably through them off a bit and seeing numerous other states introduce bills to state legislature shortly afterwards sent the signal. In other words, they see that they can't hold this facade for much longer and are therefore setting things up to accept legalization.

On the other hand, I also agree with SkatterBrayne that they've known this to be inevitable and have been saving it to distract from other things. It's unfortunate, but a clear-cut, absolute victory is rare on any front. We may win battles, but the war will never end.

since this is turning into a general discussion of politics, i just had this idea
what if the political system was the equivalent of a double blind experiment in science. when you vote for a candidate you do not get to see their name, race, gender, marriage/sexual status, wealth, social status, or even the letter they call themselves (R/D). you dont get to read thier books, listen to their propaganda, or know whether they prefer coke or pepsi. all you get to see is the bills they have voted for and against in the senate/house. they are referred to as "candidate wxyz", "candidate abcd", etc.if they reveal their identity as the candidate intentionally they are banned for life from any government position. i havent quite figured out how someone who is new gets elected, but there im sure there is some easy solution.

i know its not very practical in the real world. just a thought.

That's pretty much like telling the truth!! Doesn't work in politics ha ha!
