If I am not "in need", I shoot for a 4 week cure after hitting the jars. I use, and highly recommend, Boveda 62. The company says 1 per quart jar is enough, but I use 2 in the quart and 4 in the half gallon jars. They are like a couple bucks each and are good for at least a couple grows. The liquid/gel feel inside the Boveda will turn to crystals when they're shot. After drying, I just go by how it feels, I grade by sorting tops, mids, and popcorn, then jar it up by grade, throw in the Boveda 62 packets, one on the very bottom and one on the very top. You can just call it a day and let the cure begin if you have to, but I still burp once every day for a week or so, then leave the jars sealed until you need to break some out. Shake your jars every couple days or so during curing to kind of break the buds apart and help them breath. When it's good and cured, the buds don't stick together very much in the jar. Be aware of what I call the "Angels Cut". Your jars will begin to look like there's some missing, but it just shrinks during the cure. Nobody ripped you off, LOL. You can't really shake the popcorn buds apart, when jarring just kind of dribble the popcorn into the jar and shake it alittle as you go, don't pack at all. I always start using the popcorn first so the buds have more cure time and my tolerance gets fed by getting into better and better quality as I go. Finally getting big enough stash of different strains that I can switch back and forth and not build up such a tolerance to any one strain.
