Lighting HLG 600 rspec and ETHOS

They are days 20 and 23 today. Temps have been low due to lowering the light power on the HLG 600 rspec I am actually in between clicks one and two. DLI at their little canopies is 18 for 24hr. So this morning I took the little 700w infrared heater and popped it in there. Inkbird is set for 75F so good on that. Once it warms up in there I hope to see some growth. Gonna wait til the day before transplant to get the SIPs ready. Going to mix a heap of rinsed perlite into the terrablend.

So the girls have been slow. They were a little root bound in the solos. Got them planted in their SIP’s on Wednesday and I see they are starting to get going. The triple has gotten flattened and spread again as tips were already reaching for light. Still plain water and in res… as soon as I can I’ll start taking tops for clones. I may keep one as a mother in veg for my OD (non-comp) crop and then put her out as well.

my plan is to clone the cuttings and fill this tent with Mandarin Zkittlez. Not sure how I’ll grow them but if it looks to be too unruly I’ll throw the net on and Scrog the lot of them! Also, eventually gonna have to cut the center leaves out of the middle of the triple. I think I’ll call her Threesa! And the other I’ll call Jane… as in plain? Lol hard to think of a good name… maybe Norma? As in Normal… Norma Jane! That’s the ticket. Just needed y’all here to bounce my ideas off of lmfao!

Days 34 and 37. They are picking up speed now. Thinking taproots finally hit the res so we should be seeing some better growth. Temp steady at 75F and 55-60%h looking healthy besides snail speed. Want them at least a foot tall before taking first set of clones. Mixing and ph-ing next gallons for them at 1/2 gpg MC. Will be ph to 6.0

Day 42 and 45 for the Ethos girls. I think this coming weekend I will take first cuttings from them. I have cloning powder and peat pellets. I believe I will prob have to find a cloning chamber or build one.

They seem to be doing great under the HLG 600 rspec. Nice and green, healthy. The 600 rspec is at click#2 temps steady at 75 degF and 60% h

So, on the single topped MZ girl I am going to take some lower branches and make some clones. Was needing a heat source for rooting zone and remembered a cable box that never got returned… voila! Heat mat, lol and as you see, a clear low tote on top of that with another tall, smaller profile clear tote in that as the chamber. The tray will look kinda funny as it’s a disposable lunch meat package with popsicles sticks on the side for support. I have 6 jiffy peat pellets rehydrating and warming in a solution of 1/4 gpg mc with .5 ml GLB roots mixed in. Roots was left over from a previous test using GLB amendments. They are on a cable box rt now and will stay out til this afternoon when cloning commences. This should be fun as it’s been a loooonnnngggg time since I have done the process.

Days 49 and 52 for the girls today. Took clones from the non triple plant yesterday. Once the clones are rooted they will be reintroduced to the tent and vegged for another 3-4 weeks before either taking a trip outside to start hardening process or switch to 12/12 and let them rip. May take another set before vegging… not sure.

Morning all, weekly update days 55 & 58. I am gonna have to flower these soon or pop them out when I put clones in… so here are the big girls today…

And here are the clones, looking worse for wear but I am seeing roots on two so hope they make it. Gotta get pots prepped for transplant.

I know that most people will cut their leaves but read a study claiming that there is no improvement to rooting when leaves are cut. I also have 4 new babies that’ll be added to the auto tent when it’s time…

In front- left is Rocbud Purple Kong, right is HSO Chocolate Mint OG. Back - left is Fastbuds Amnesia Zkittlez and back rt is Errors seeds Fruit Auto. Back two seedlings are the ones that jumped out of their shell casings during germination and were doing laps in the shotties.

Days 62 and 65 for the girls today. Did a defol on them in prep for the Scrog net(s) to go on top. It’s gonna take a few days and maybe a supercrop or two to get them there. Prob gonna remove the solo wedding glues and put them in the big pot tent. Gonna pull the wood side braces up to anchor the first net at 8 pts instead of 4 cors. I will be posting pics of the process as I install the net.

Days 69 & 72 for the photo big girls . More weaving and tucking. Wanna wait til the screen is mostly filled… prob about 2 wks then flip to 12/12.

Got a lot to post today, I’ll start with the clones… the clones have been uppotted to 1 gal nursery plastic pots.

Next are the two big girls. I wanted to wait til 4/20 to switch to flower but not sure if I can hold out… might run out of room. Might do it this weekend.

And lastly are seedlings for the auto tent. CMOG, Fruit auto from errors and rocbudinc purple kong
