HLG 100 Rspec Test

I
What do u think of the light so far?
Its nice. I cant judge yet not till completion obviously. Its is a upgrade over my autocobs, but its noticeably less light than I've been using. The proof is always in the pudding tho, I judge a light by the bud it grows. After the start I had the final product will tell the story. I paid $80-$100 on my 1st light did a good job, but the Rspec destroys it. I wish this would have been around when I bought that 1. It seems very reasonably price at $150. Excellent starting light for sure, I would prefer a single light for a 4'x2', not needing to have 2 separate lights. Not a dealbreaker tho just my OCD. I want to see once I get into flower, and the light comes down closer. I like it so far it's a quality light without question. I see why you mentioned them, although yours are a little bigger lol.

Last tent I put a net up and kept it like 20” from pots then flipped once the net was like 75% full it filled up just right lol but I got the nice 4x4 stretchy net well come time for harvest it was a night mare as I like to hang whole plants or split them in half. Next run I’ll be getting some cheap plastic netting so I can just cut it at the end. I used nylon string type of netting before the nicer one which was a pain because every time I cut it little strands wound up all over the buds and was a pain in the ass being all Sticky. With my back I just can’t do the training you do. But I have a little device I use to reach around the tent and fill the net up. Topping I can and probably will start doing.
Mine is a bungee material no sticking. I know what you mean with having to cut each branch out. If you dry the plant whole not gonna be easy lol. I just like bustin' balls hahaha. Training takes time and patience in angles that aren't always fun. Being anal is a huge advantage no doubt luckily for me lol.

Going well so far and only using 100 watts. I am enjoying this grow :d5:
Starting to pick them up and puttin' them down now bud. Got an update coming tomorrow I think so stay tuned. Did some training just couldn't help myself lol. I should've top her knowing what I know now, but I could say that about a lot of things. Tied her down some with some supercropping as well. Light is up almost all the way and she is closer than recommended 24". She is 18" tall, but we are increasing her girth. Today is day 36 so a few more days of veg, but we are getting close. Stay lifted.

Welcome back and thanks for stopping! I've got an update for ya, but 1st it's that time again... it's time to get lifted!!! :woody:
I'm dabbing on some freshly pressed Blue Dream from Garden of Green. Nothin' to it but to do it so for those who are joining me cheers!

Day 40

Today was the last day of grow nutrients for her. I already had them mixed up so I used them. Next feeding she will just get water then start with bloom nutrients. I have been tying her lower branches down and doing some supercropping. I left her main stem alone, but could have topped her and maybe should have. She has stretched a good bit light is only about 15" maybe less from her. I think she is done stretching so we should be good. Here is a few pics from this morning.

Now the fun part begins. She is lanky, but this will help with airflow and each bud site getting light. Not a lot of leaves either which means less trimming needed. I wont complain about that, but I hope there is enough that I can use my ipower bowl trimmer. That's all I got for now so till the next time stay lifted.

I don't use a net I keep everything on trays with wheels so I can move them around in the 4 x4. I have also used a 2 x 4 plastic table in the tent or under the tent in a 2x 4. it saves your back when training. For support, I use bamboo skewers that are 3ft long you can use tomato vine clamps where needed.

I only use a net for scrogging otherwise I'll just pull them out. I have a milk crate in my stationary tub I put them on so I can get up in her lol. Plus if I need to flush it's perfect. I plan on using some tomato cages I have 1 day. I will modify some for different types of training. For now the 2'x4' doesn't allow me to go mad scientist so limited... for now.

And we're back with some updates for you. We are in full bloom mode now, well with 1 of them lol. We'll get into that in a second, but first it's that time... time to get lifted!!!:yay:

Im feeling elevated hope you are too. Dabbing some Green Crack tonight has a nice subtle sweetness with a touch of funk. I cant place the taste, but its satisfying to say the least.

Ok, today was day 51 and blueberry is forming buds. The Rspec is 3"-4" from top of her. I'm regretting more and more everyday not topping them. So let's learn from this, and remember they are a resilient plant that cant take a lot. Now I'm concerned about the top cola. This is the 1st time I havent topped, or lst the main stem. I had 1 I thought stop growing and got past my lst lol. She was a little smaller than this 1, but was the most terpy plant I've done. I also have a deficiency going on I believe to be phosphors. Yellow leaves some brown spots and purple stems. I'm bad a seeing deficiencies, but think its do to them not receiving bloom nutrients soon enough. I pushed past my normal trying to get them bigger hahaha. That worked, but at the cost of a deficiency. I have some pics if anyone thinks it something else let me hear it. Calmag came to mind at 1st, but phosphorus seemed to check all the boxes. I wanted to give them bloom nutrients to see if that helped. They got their 2nd bloom nutrients today. She looks to be a nice yield if I can get her fixed up.

You can see some frost on this 1

Here are the yellowing leaves with brown spots.

And the purple stems

Ph is good so I think its phosphorus please correct me if I'm wrong.

Now my other plant that was originally under the Rspec is getting big. She is actually taller than the blueberry about 1" from autocob. I bent her and she crumpled, but surprisingly didnt break. Any ideas what I can do with her let me have them. She started to grow up already, and I tied her to the top. Is that my best course of action? Here she is.

The tip was straight when I ties her up.

I was worried this could happen. Even with a slow start they blew up lol. I need a bigger space, but until we go rec stuck with this 1. I'm gonna go do a dab, or a few. Here is to bigger grow space for us all!:pass:
Stay lifted
