My plants are currently on day 23 I have 8 girls and 1 boy and 1 still not showing my question is how long do I have before the male releases pollen would like to just knock up one lady. Just hoping im still ok and haven't knocked ip my whole box

What the folks here always told me is that unless you are gonna polinate your fe males, kill that male ASAP.

Welcome to AFN!

I'd be separating the male from the ladies NOW...you'll check one day and the balls will have done their deed behind your back.....

Males will usually start dropping pollen around week 4, so I would move that male out of there right away. I just move mine to a window sill. They won't get real big but even a 12 - 15" male will produce plenty of pollen. Capture the pollen and then use a small brush or a Q-tip and dab the pollen on the female sometime around week 5 or 6. A fully pollinated female can produce upwards of 1,000 seeds or more. Instead of doing a full plant you might consider just pollinating a single branch on several females. That way if you get varying phenotypes, you'll have several to choose from. A single branch can easily produce 50 - 100 seeds.

Cool thanks I was starting to get nervous good thing I didn't panic and just rip him out of the pot that's the only boy I got the other 9 turned out to be girls. I didn't know you could just pollinate single branches that's pretty cool. I do have one girl that's looks to be a different pheno than the others her leaves are a little different and she has almost a blue green color to her . But 9 out of 10 ladies in a pack of regular seeds that's a pretty good ratio id say

That's an excellent ratio. LOL, unfortunately over the long haul it tends to even itself out. Don't be surprised if you get a predominance of males at some point.

If you do decide to just pollinate a couple branches, after you dab the pollen on, mist the branches down with some plain water. The pistols will be sticky enough to hold the pollen and the water will wash away any excess and help it from being spread to other parts of the plant.
