Hi i've never done a grow before but i've been thinking and reading up on it for the last year or two and will hopefully do my first next month and i'm looking forward to getting advice off you great people

i'm looking to grow 2 autos in a wardrobe using using soil

i know i have quite a few more things to get but upto now i've got

the wardrobe

got these on offer
4 inch rhino pro filter,
4 inch rhino pro twin speed fan,

hi and welcome
my shopping list is bigger 34 years after starting growing,there will allways be something.
just get stuck in,is my advice.
anyways plenty here to read and digest,have a good nosey around.
if you get stuck pop into live stoners to get pointed the right way again,if you get really stuck then the sick plants infirmary section.

It's the beginning of a great adventure!
Right off I would suggest that the Fast & Vast is just OK. Not sure about the northern lights not familiar. I would look into Mephisto. I know everyone around here are Mephisto fans, but that is for good reason!!
You have lights, as you progress you may want to check out other options, but you are off to a good start. I am a recent COB devotee myself and really like them so you can file that for future reference.
I did not see containers. I use fabric pots 1,3,5, and 10 gallon (10's are usually for my tomatoes!). The rest of the list looks spot on. I remember starting up again after so many years, man it was fun reading up and then dropping those first beans. I am almost jealous!!

passive intake bottom or side going to do 2 4 inch by 4 inch
carbon filter horizontal or vertical
at the top of grow cuboard or lower and
which way is better
top of cuboard-fan-duct-carbon filter
or
top of cuboard-duct-fan-duct-carbon filter

Hey!
I have seen many ways, including all you mentioned. I would say whatever fits your cab the best. I always try to have the intake on the opposite side of the outflow.
In my tents for the most part the fan and filter on top front blowing out of the top of the tent and flap open on rear bottom for intake.
Hope that makes sense.

Welcome to tbe AFN family!! Its always exciting to see first time growers!! As far as the set up question, it's really personal preference. I prefer to have my filter and fan at the top of the grow space (because heat rises) and the intake at the bottom, and on the opposite side of the carbon filter. Either way should work fine!
