:. I'm in the construction phase of medium sized closet grow. My goal is to be do this as high-tech as possible on a non-existent budget. I am lucky to be ridiculously resourceful. I've got a 2' x 5' x 8' bedroom closet that I will be converting into a 24 site hydro farm using 1200+ watts T5. First though, I'm working on this smaller grow cabinet that started life as a Thomasville dresser/tv stand. I've got a 250watt MH that I scavenged from an old PetSmart aquatic plant grow tank. I cannibalized an old pentium tower for the atx power supply and 3 fans. I have an ozone generator/ionizer for odor control and I'll probably use some carbon as well. My reflective material was free too. So far the only money I've got invested is in the actual hydro supplies. My White Ryder seeds are even being donated by Matt Riot of Riot Seeds. I'm pretty excited to get things going and I'm finding patience to be the biggest hurdle. I want to do it right. My only growing experience is from a few bag seeds I tried to grow this spring. I managed to get one about 3 feet tall in a 5 gallon bucket outside but it grew big balls so it got tossed into the burn pile.
I want to grow my own cannabis for different reasons. First.... I'm tired of having to go down to the ghetto and park by the second trash dumpster at the housing project to get $100 an oz dirt weed from whichever thug is closest to the door. It's just a shady deal all around, Second.... I have severe nerve damage from a failed back surgery that causes uncontrollable spasms several times a day. In keeping this under control I have become a pretty heavy user. I can go through a 1/4 pound in 2 weeks and think nothing of it.
I've been doing my research for years. I've joined countless forums and lurked in the shadows absorbing information like a tampon but this is my first post on any forum. I only recently came to learn about autoflowering strains and they appeal to me in many ways. I'll be starting a grow journal in the future. I've been documenting the process with photos and HD video and will be sharing as much as I can.
