Indoor Hey guys, little question about seedling's ?????

So my mazar have just broke soil all three and still have the seed shells on them, not fully open yet or no leaves to be seen, should i leave lights off still or should i turn them on, bearing in mind i only have 50w actual of cfl over them ??

Turn the lights on mate!
It would be wise to invest in more light check out ebay, I bought my last 300 watt cfl on there and it cost me less than 40 quid but extra light will significantly raise your yield and cfls are still the cheapest way to do it, I've been growing under cfls for a few years and wouldn't swap (until LEDs bomb in price) I think on the whole that you get greater yields from sodium etc but the extra expense and running costs IMO aren't worth it if you're growing a bit of dope for yourself, just shove in an extra plant to increase yield!

Thanks Jim, i will check ebay now. rang a local store and they want like 75- 100 for cfls , im gonna try and grow this one out with cfls only. ill be sure to let you know how it goes as it goes

Cool, FYI I grew my first lot of autos under only 125 w and although the yield was low it was still fine weed.

Found another store 250 w 27k red only, which is what i want for 70 euro. same bulb on ebay with p&p would cost same. strapped at the mo but first thing next week im gonna go and get it, ive got three mazars and i underestand they grow quite big so i hope it will do, i can add more of the ones i have already maybe another 50 watts. unsure of which spectrum they are, there household ones , philips tornado's

ok, i made the mistake of letting my dog near my pots when i was checking them today, all three seeds are above soil with shell still on them , barely, but he knocked the shell of one, i know, slack on my behalf, but thats ridgbacks wana be in on everything lol. my problem is that whats left from under the shell is white and not green at all, will having this under light kill it ???

those philips tornados temd to be redish 2700k i have 2 warm and 2 cool considering buying more but not yet will see how the plants do for the first 2-3 weeks nd if they look like they could do with more then BAM more bulbs , i figure that running 4 20w cfls 20 hours a day for 63 days (9 weeks) would cost 18 euro, so would hurt the pockets too much to add some more im currently running 5600lumens

I think that it will be fine. I have seen the seed casing pop off a sprout early and it be all white. Give it 24 hrs. I bet it greens up.

ok cool and thank you. funny thing that i noticed is the last seed that i germed was 2 days behind the other. only germed two first and the last on seems to be moving at a way faster pace, i think!!

yeah was thinking they were redishm probably going to buy a 250 w cfl red in local growshop, 70 euro, hps is like 120 i think for 250, might stretch to it if i feel good that day, no job sucks at the mo more than ever lol
