Indoor Here we go : Feminized Blueberry & Vertigo

a little update. The blueberry is frosting up nicely, white hairs thickening. no browning yet. the vertigos have started flowering, bud sites fattening slowly.
I have a few yellow fan leaves on the very bottom of the plants. 1-2 on each. all the rest is green as it should be. I suppose losing 1-2 fan leaves at the bottom is normal?

Hey grompa your plants are looking good, yellowing is totally normal for the blueberry it will get worse but don't worry, my girl is in a nice rich soil and she still yellowed but I pulled off lots of fan leaves as well and even then she was fine. From the photo the blueberry looks very green and healthy hopefully soon she starts going purple to almost black on some of the leaves...if you are lucky that is ;)

Hi nineweeks, I just checked my blueberry now, and all its leaves seem to be a shade lighter green than the vertigos. considering it still has about 30 more days to go, I feel I'll be in trouble. Here's what she looks like outside the cabin, the hps wont let me picture her true colors.
Here's my question, should I up the grow nutes for the next feeding to get the nice green back? or will this yellowing (its getting worse) take me through flowering considering I expect some good bud action?
Please help ! :)

Hey grompa, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but from where I sit looking at your blueberry she aint gonna get much bigger, I may be wrong but I dont think so. She looks lovely and healthy so dont worry about the leaves colour...just water and feed with your topmax. What size pot is she in? I have mine in 12L and it is still too small, I really think these blueberrys want 20L. Another observation is that you are using a 250 watt hps with a cooltube right? If so that blueberry needs to be touching the glass almost, my colas wrap around the cooltube getting as close as 1 inch, the plants should be fine if your exhaust is strong enough. The yellowing leaves are fine, I had them too....big time to the point where I thought that it was just eating itself alive...and it was but it put on alot of new shade leaves at 6.5 weeks to my relief. I have been feeding her only topmax for flowering...thats it, I give it every time I water...about 3-4mls / litre I am growing in an organic soil so I let that do all the work, I now know I can buy Plagron royalty mix soil and grow beautiful blueberry buds only having to give topmax and water, it is idiot proof.....Almost :D I have done nothing special, just given lots of light to developing buds and let the soil do its thing...seems to work well.

This blueberry loves to be LST'd if you open her up a bit she really will turn into a crown of glory, I have found that they get a bit choked up with bushy leaves...opening it up and removing a few will let the branches ...well branch out :D then you can really push her close to the light letting the buds kinda wrap around the tube.

Anyway have a look at how close my girl is to the cooltube...with 250 watts and a cooltube you can get real close, ok my buds are not massive but look at the difference between your girl and mine, and there is 5 days difference in age or so. I would not attempt to grow three plants under 250 watts it is 3 small plants with popcorn buds or one plant with nice colas, I personally want one with colas...the choice is yours.

Thanks for the answer nineweeks, my blueberry is in a 12L pot as well. The vertigos are in 18L pots. 3 plants are too much for my grow space, next time I'll go with 2 only. I'll try to bring my blueberry closer to the light, will need re-arranging in my small grow tent. I dont have topmax, the only flowering nute I have is atami bloombastic 20-21 P&K values. the recommended dosage is 0.5 ml per litre and I'm not exceeding that. the soil is biobizz allmix. my other nutes I have are alg a mic and biobizz grow.
I'll do some rearranging in the cabin, and let you know how things go in a few days.
Thank you for the heads up

Ok if you are in 12L too then like you said the blueberry is getting a little overcrowded thats all. She still looks fine though. I am also popping in a 2nd plant this time round...but it will be in a hanging basket so it does not rob space from my main plant. It is just for fun really the 2nd plant as i will be doing it in a 2L pot...I will prob get 15 grams or so but it is just to play around and not have to worry if she dies :)

day 63

OK here we are at day 63 from seed. The blueberry will get the chop in 2 weeks, and the vertigos have 3-4 weeks to go. There is a clear sign of N deficiency, but I guess the flowering stage is eating up all the energy on the fan leaves. Either my biobizz grow has gone bad or I kept the dose low. I keep feeding with Biobizz grow, as well as 20-21PK. I plan on feeding the vertigos 4 more times (every 3-4 days) then I'll flush. the blueberry will get 2 more feeds, then be flushed.
Here's how the situation looks like. first the vertigos, followed by the blueberry. :peace:

doesnt really look like N deficiency. Looks like its at end of its growing life. My blueberry usually finished at day 65-70 from germinating

Hey Grompa. I thought the blueberry was gonna look like that in the end, very very stunted  you still got some nice bud off her though by the looks of it, and your vertigos look great :booya: I got the same thing going on with my northern lights right now that you has with your blueberry, it sux......I can tell she is having a tough time for whatever reason (I think I just overwatered after transplanting which was stupid) and I am seriously considering just starting another one as she is at only 3 weeks but should be much bigger. She has not done anything for about 5 days...well not a lot but I think I have done damage too early on to be recoverable i.e stunting like you had with your blueberry. Hard to know what to do start again or wait it out.
Anyway enough misery....
The blueberry smoke is pretty potent (well mine is) and is already far superior to anything I can buy in Holland in the coffee shops and it will be even better after 2 weeks of curing so I am sure you wont be disappointed with your harvest
:bong:

Edit: Here are some pics of what I got off my blueberry I have no idea how much maybe 50 grams?
