Hello to AFN land. I have been around a short while,posting here and there,but finally decided to get my butt over here and give some background so maybe folks will understand my madness. I am a tinkerer. I love to take on new challenges. Recently my wife was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, an incurable cancer of the blood. We are pursuing standard medical protocols but we will also entertain alternative means as we feel necessary. So that got me doing more research into this wonderful little plant. I have previously looked into autoflowering plants because I thought it was a promising idea.
I also raise some tropical hibiscus, ginger and heliconia. I have also been growing tomatoes and peppers as well as some other vegetables in order to ensure my wife is getting organic,fresh vegetables. I am going to foray into the autoflower world in earnest now however. I recently purchased a mars hydro reflector series 96x3 led light as my main light and have numerous cfl lights for supplemental lighting. I have a walk in closet for use as a grow room(approximately 3.5'x6'x 8'). It's already painted white so one less thing to do. I currently have a Dinafem auto amnesia sprouted in a mix of Fox Farm Happy Frog with some coco coir and perlite added. Will be using the full complement of products from a General Organics go box as ferts. I have 3 different barrels of collected rain water at a ph of6.8 and a tds reading of 50 ppm. So I am also set for a good water supply.
Nothing to do now but see where this takes us.

also in similar predictament... Partner was dx'ed with lung cancer last month.... Def check the ph section out as oldster has already recommended... It's under the medical section... Also not sure if you've all ready looked into it though I sure you have Google Rick Simpson Oil or Phoenix Tears... Sending :karma Cloud: you and your wife's way....
