Most "freebies" are last year's unsold seeds.. so sometimes they are fine and other not so much, hell, they could be 3 years old for all we know!

OK...I would love to give Herbies a great rave unfortunately I can not.
They do have great customer service, however I have had nothing but issues getting any seeds from them to germinate. Out of the many I have ordered and the freebies, I have about a 50/50 ratio of seeds germinating.
The last set of seeds I grew were WOS NL x BB. Two of the plants came out good, short ( less than 12 inches ) but dense and dank indica...the third looked nothing like the others tall, sativa and is FULL OF SEEDS...I will be posting this in another thread as well as I just cut her and got pics.

What has germinated.... 3x WOS AKR; 2 Fastbuds ( one of these was HUGE ) LSD and One Stardawg; 1x Amnesia; 1x Delicious Candy and now trying 2 x Nicole Moraccan Kush Regs...4 days no sprouts.
What has not germinated... 1 Fast Buds LSD and 2 x Stardawg; 1 Delicious Dark Purple; 1 Nefertiti; 3 x Afghan Regs.
I don't think it is operator error as 1/2 of them pop...I use the damp paper towel and heating pad kept on warm.
I have tried with a few to soak them overnight in a shot glass as well...
I have ordered 3 times from them ( all stealth with seeds out of the package ) trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and be a good patron as they did work with me a bit when I griped...but unfortunately I will be taking my order to another bank in the future to try a different approach.
No hard feelings and not bad mouthing just sharing my experience.

I am dealing with Herbie's and their customer service is outstanding! I called Herbies and got through right away, no run around. NONE. They responded, promptly, to my emails, with a positive outcome.


I went to order through another company, and my bank shut that down due to the fact the account taking my money was in China. When I inquired with THAT company-NOT HERBIES- I received a curt reply, almost, rude.

I am sold on Herbies. I bought Buddha Red Dwarf, Kalashnikov Original, and Royal Queen's Speedy Chile Fast Version. I will check back from time to time to let folks know when I receive the order.

I am psyched for spring, coffee grounds, and worms.

It would be good for you to reveal what seedbank is using Chinese banking....doesn't sound like a trustworthty company to me... we have no obligation to protect their identity, and I don't care whom they are, even if a sponsor here! Our community has a right to know.

Why is that? We're not a USA based entity, why would Chinese banking make one difference? I don't question any of the banks our European vendors use, that's their business.

SonofHobbes I was uncertain as I do not know if weed is legal in China. I know some Asian countries have, extremely, strict rules about any sort of drugs. My limited knowledge, and the bank shutting down that purchase, raised suspicion.

Seedsman is our preferred seed bank of choice for AFN (we're also an affiliate,) and probably considered one of the more reputable banks on the internet and with a long standing reputation.

My bank had an issue with doing business with China, and I thought Seedsman was based out of Spain.

On a brighter note: I received my seeds from Herbies!!! 2 red dwarf seeds, 3 Kalashnikov Original, and 3 Royal Queen Speedy Chili. I received a freebie of Eleven Roses and Mandarin Orange. It, only, took a week.

On a sadder note it's snowing today...so much for spring. I can hear the robins though, they are here.
