I have 2 Afghan Kush Ryder plants from WOS. The first plant is relatively short with more developed buds. The white hairs on the cola have just started to turn red but are still 95% white. The second is a tall plant with less developed buds. I viewed the trichomes on the first plant for the first time yesterday and was shocked to see that they all looked milky. The plants were both 42 days old. From what I have read plants usually take about 10 days or longer to mature than the seed company advertises. I've read 65-75 days is standard. These plants are advertised to take 55 days from seed. I was expecting clear trichomes before I looked. I checked the 2nd plant which has only has trichomes for about 7-10 days and found them to be milky also. Obviously I am in a bit of a panic. This is my first grow and the bud size isn't where I would like it. I'm hoping someone will tell me I'm reading them wrong. Shouldn't the hairs have turned red by the time it's ready to harvest? I am using a 100X magnification instrument. The part of the plant a looked was a leaf near a bud if that matters. Any help/advice relative to recognising maturity/harvest time, stopping nutrients etc will be appreciated. Thank you.
