HELP PLZ!!

:yeahthat: thanks @Olderfart ..... After 5 years of doing this in here, coc is hands down the #1 problem medium I see, mainly from it being treated like soil... So few do the research on this soiiless medium! It's not like peat-based soilless either,.....
Dosmoke', what you need is a TDS/EC meter, and a pH meter (plus the calibration solutions for it, 7.0 & 4.0, and storage solution)
Coco breathes very very well, that's why it can be used as a hydro medium... the idea is the same as hydro as well, keeping a constant steady-ish moderate level of nutes in there all the time... to do this you never use water alone(this can screw up it's CEC (cation exchange capacity), use Ca-Mg at least., but typically it's a nute solution set to the right ppm and pH; feed to 15-20+% run-off each time, and test the run-off for pH and ppm; this is how you monitor in-pot parameters, and prevent nute salt build-up,... Early on with seedlings, you don't have to do this right away, but you do need to feed weakly for a week or so, then start the proper routine....
CEC, read up on that... in coco, it involes mainly Ca, Mg to a lesser extent.. coco will bind Ca to itself strongly enough to keep it from the plant, until a saturation level is met, then it gives/takes like it should, so long as the nute solution replenishes supplies....

Thanks for the thumbs up Waira, coming from you, it means a lot to me. It is good to hear that my advice is not likely to lead someone astray. I just posted on the coco subforum directions to an excellent article regarding CEC . It is the best I have read.

Did you get water on the leaves? If so, it’ll burn a bit from the light. They look fine to me

:greenthumb: ahh, that's great! I've not found one yet I liked, so I'll go have a look,... likely, I'll make a copy and stuff it into Reference too!
