HELLO AFN :dragon3:

WELL I DESTROYED MY PREVIOUS OUTSIDE GROW WITH STUNTING THE ROOTS OF MY SEEDLINGS SO I LEFT THEM OUTSIDE. I HAVE A NEW GROW AK 49, NORTHERN LIGHT, AUTO CHEMDOG, AND AFGAN KUSH RYDER. 50% SOIL 50% perlite
I GROW THEM UNDER MY CFLS EACH HAS A 100 WATTS FOR THE TIME BEING 24/7 light. TEMP AT 30 C, CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THAT AT THE MOMENT. BUT I REALLY MESS UP WITH HOW TO WATER THEM, I THINK I ALL READY PUT TOO MUCH WATER THEY LOOK UNDER DEVELOPED FOR DAY 3 from hatch. I AM REALLY ANXIOUS FRIENDS I CANT DESTROY A SECOND GROW:dragon6: BUT THAT 50% perlite makes the soil dry fast and `I am afraid of dried or heat stressed roots. so I keep adding water.
I just open little wholes around the seedling for the soil to dry up faster since I over watered probably. How do you see the seedling ? do you think they are water logged or worse roots are affected from rot. I am panicked Not again :grrr2:
Please any advice
Thanks AFN

They'll be fine, it will take them another week to put out the true leaves.
Seedlings take a lot less water than grown plants. Hold off watering them for about 5 days. Also no feeding for another 2 weeks.
Plants grow best from 75-85 degrees F (23C - 29C) so 30C is not bad.
Do you have a fan blowing on them? That will help cool things down if the temp goes much above 30C.
After 3 days stick a finger into the soil up to your first knuckle. If you can feel moisture/dampness at the end of your finger, it is good.

Thanks mate you made feel much better. at the moment the soil is moistured a lot but not wet , yet that perlite confuses me.
Yes I have a fan but temp outside goes to 35 C. I add some organic fertilisers like biothrive iguana juice, and sea weed. Can this be considered feeding ?
Thanks again man:thanks:

Yeah man, if they're only 3 days old in that picture then you're cool. If you're really concerned about figuring out the water level, maybe get a Soil Ph & Moisture meter. It takes all of the guesswork out of it.

Aright mate try doing a 18/6 cycle use the six hours off period when it's the hottest part of the day this may help did for me using hps

Also I only add a 1/3 at the most for perlite to soil mix, it airs the soil so it does dry out quicker

The answer to heat problem if it's coming from outside, causing your grow to go that high you may have to consider a portable ac unit to cool the room no other way
