I need help with the humidity in my grow room. The grow room is in my out building and the humidity is real low(10 to 15%) and I was needing help with raising it without the use of a humidifier (if possible). So if any of you have an idea please let me know. Thanks for the help

Wet towels do the trick quite well as long as you have the heat to burn off the moisture on them bro...

Thanks Dub I will try this I thought of this once but wasn't sure if it would work and yeah I have the heat. How about a bowl with some water in it will this work. And should I hang the towels above the lights?

I leave my towels spread out on the floor since that's where the heat is being directed and it will rise up to the plants as it evaporates...

Placing some pans of water in the space with a fan blowing across them will help some, but 10-15% is pretty damn low. I have to use a mist humidifier to get mine up to a decent place during the winter, and we rarely get as dry as you.

Yeah I know its way low I cant find a humidifier here locally so that's why I was wanting to know some tips. A de-humidifier wont help anything will it? I was thinking that the word de-in the de-humidifier meant taking humidity away is this right?

bowls/containers of water

my humidity gets dangerously low in the winter due to the furnace , and you would be surprized how much my rh goes up just on the days i water

containers of water evaporating help quite a bit , but have large openings as a buncha pop bottles with mouth sized opening wont help much

peace

ya jay a dehumidifier sucks it out and a humidifier puts it off. Add more plants.

The greater the surface area, the more water will evaporate (if you are using pans or towels). I think you will need a pretty good sized humidifier with RH that low. What are your temperatures? If the arent high your TRUE 'humidity' is even lower than that... check out vapor pressure deficit for more info on that.

Thanks Cres I would love to add more plants in there but I'm out of beans and also the ones that are in there wasn't growing because the rh is down so low they wasnt growing. I did put some bowls of water and some wet rags this did bring it up to about 28 to 30% so I'm getting there. Now I have started to see some growth. Where can I get a good humidifier?
