Help Me Plan My 2nd Grow!?! (Coco!)

Hi friends-I'm planning my 2nd grow right now... And I'm thinking of switching to Coco coir.

I'm in a 3x3 with a tsw2000

My plan (please suggest!) is to use Coco (70/30) in 5gl airpots.

But I've never done nutes before, so if anyone has any recommendations there, it would be super appreciated. I'm going to hit up my hydro store tomorrow....


Any other thoughts??

Least expensive bang for your buck is GreenLeaf nutrients with NPK Industries Raw products, next is Dyna-Gro,

I have used but don't like, (lots of peeps do) General Hydroponics and Fox Farm.

More expensive Canna Coco, House & Garden. That is the end of the list of what I have used. I have had acceptable to good results with all of them.

GreenLeaf is by far the price point leader and I just grew three of the best quality strains I have ever grown using it. I tweak the formula a bit with raw products.

GreenLeaf has come out with a new two part product that may solve the too much nitrogen in flower balance issue with previous formulas. I just ordered some hoping to use this run.

@PerachYarok Let me know what you decide on. I have spreadsheets that can be helpful for the math for several brands.

Ps there are many other brands the thing I recommend is to decide on a vendor and then use that vendors entire line only. They invest millions to perfect products that work together without poisoning your plant. Yes it is mostly the same basic ingredients mixed in some secret fashion (snake oil?) but mixing vendors can lead to an imbalance in your nutrient profile.

I've gone with Advanced Nutrients line...all arrives today. Germinating seeds in about 3 weeks (to time up with my current grow / harvest schedule).

Here's my plan:

3x3 grow tent
marshydro tsw 2000 led light
5gl airpots generic ("maxx yield power pots")
Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco Grow / Flower
AN Rhino
AN Voodoo Juice
AN Big Bud Coco
AN Overdrive

I'll water them everyday (and mix the nutrients up everyday, yeah? All the water gets the nutes, yeah?)

I'm using this line as well. I add nutrients to every watering. I start at 0.5ml/l and work up 0.25ml/l each week. I'm in my second grow with it and so far haven't needed more than 1 or 1.25ml/l for any of the 4 plants. I stayed around that 1ml/l amount for bloom and added 1/4 or half strength BigBud or Overdrive. 1 plant liked the additives the other seemed to just be happy with 1/4 strength base bloom. I water a liter per day for the first 3-4 weeks, start seeing less runoff as they get bigger, then I water twice or 3 times a day as they get into flower. Some seem thirstier than others so far from what I've seen. Hope that helps. Others I think use plain water between nutrient feeds but I don't know anything about that method.

Also I saw you said seeds. What genetics are you running? If they are any kind of bigger strains 5 gal of coco could potentially grow a monster... I got a big pheno spilling out a 3x3 right now in 3gal fabric pots with these nutes.

Autos. Probably Mephisto (sour crack + the freebie blend they gave me...that I'm growing now), but I've also got some dreamberry from auto seeds, and a variety pack of autos from Buddha (seed vault in the UK).

Hey guys, I am also growing in coco. I have Sensi Coco Grow & Bloom, Big Bud Coco, and Overdrive, is there any other nutrients you would recommend by AN?

Biobiz nutes are great with coco.
Long as you feed (water!) Everyday.
Also, would recommend IF you are adding nutes daily to make your feeds about 50 - 75 %. Its of notional value to cram more in but is not needed or necessary when you use coco.
If they need it, they will tell you, fair enough but chances are they will do what they do on half feed.
