Help me out!

Passive hydro grow. Auto Widow under 90w prosource LED. Seems like we have a little leaf crinkling going on. Can anyone tell me what the diagnosis/prognosis is? Oh btw, using Fox farm nutes. They still look okay and healthy, but I'm thinking about letting the verm/perlite dry for a day and a little H2O flush.

First thing to check is your pH. If it's off it could be locking out the nutrients.

Thanks for the rapid response!

I've got a digi ph meter, and I usually nail 6.3 every time. I check the runoff too. I'm super new to this, so any advice is appreciated.

That's perfect on the pH so I doubt you need to flush. Next question, what's your soil mix and have you feed them yet? If so, I'm assuming Grow Big. How much have you fed?

Went wiith the instructions for week two/3. Here is the nute solution being used now: 8cc/Half Gallon of Big Bloom 6cc/Half Gallon of Grow Big and 2cc of ProTekt Silicon Solution. Got those calculations from the fox farm feeding schedule and broke it down to cc's instead of tsp's, well because its a bit more precise, and having some mycology equipment around it just made sense. My ppm's come in right around a 1000 for this particular solution. Was using about 2/3 this strength last week as per the feeding schedule.

Can you elaborate on feeding? I was under the assumption you should always have the plants in some variety of nutes aside from flushing and drying out periods. I guess my question would be, what would be a good routine to get into for feeding/watering...drying, etc and timetables? Sorry if this is a vague question, but my ignorance precedes me.

Bear in mind that their feeding schedule was designed for photo sensitive plants, not autos. With autos it's generally recommended that you stay with veg nutes through at least week 5, if not 6. If anything it looks like you may need a little more N. I would suggest just giving it a 1/4 strength feeding of just Grow Big.

Excellent. Thanks for the help muddy. I'm being real detailed with my note taking, and whats working and not so hopefully the learning curve is short. These are my first two auto seedlings and I really want to see some buds come off them.

One more question. Do you recommend a solution for after weeks 5 or 6 for tiger bloom and big bloom. Keep it at a quarter strength?

hey krum... heres a rough guide for ya:

what i mean is that not all autos are the same lol
I have been growing the same genetic line for over a year now
and they all seem like they really like my fert schedule.

This is what i doi break it down as follows

First off let me talk about what i use as ferts. I have a 4 part system that i use and most of this is in the brain so please bare with me as i share this one.

I use FF grow big (hydro formula) Tiger Bloom and then two tea variations. One is high in N for veg and the other is high in Phosphorus when its time to flower.
I apply these through out the grow. I use the FF to get it started.
then i move to the teas and then back to the FF and then back to the teas

So i break it down like this:
FF GB is 3Tbsp/1Gal for heavy feedings. So in my mind this is more than enough for our fave friends. So it states that 2tbsp/1gal is for normal feedings so i use this as my base number. After that i break it down into 1/4

at 7 days i start like this
Day 7 1/4 dose to a gal
Day 14 1/2 dose to a gal + 8oz of N rated tea
Day 21 1tsp GB and then 1/4 of TB (bringing in the TB)
Day 28 1/2 TB + 8oz of Phosphorus rated tea
Day 35 1.5 tsp TB to a gal
Day 41 2tsp of TB and 8oz of Phosphorus rated tea
Then Flush till finish unless it needs something at the end.

I think that this is everything that i do like i said i am not sure as this is all in my head. If the plants demand more that i give more this is just something to go by. I usually do not swap in clean water feedings at all over the fert program. I just use the jug then its gone. Now if i start to see over feeding or lockouts ill flush.
But if i keep my water on point i never usually see a lock out or toxicity.

Hope this helps

that should give you a good general guideline for feed schedule...
