I have had 16 plants growing outside in the Spanish summer sun.
As the current journals attest, this has been stress and problem free.
All of the girls have looked the picture of health and as happy as pigs in shit.

Until TODAY.

Went out this evening to check up on the ladies, and ONE of the girls looks like someone has set fire to her.

I know this can not be 'nutrient splash'.
Today was the 'day off' in terms of feeding.

The pics are from ONE plant of SIXTEEN.
Only one other shows a hint of similar.

There are FOUR different strains in the garden.
The only strain showing any signs of this is Mephisto HubbaBubbaSmelloScope Auto.

I make a point of watering early morning, well before the intense sunlight hits the girls.
This damage happened in ONE DAY.

There were no signs of it yesterday - this was her on Day 42.

Could this simply be the effects of intense sunshine?

Other than the obvious question of "what the fuck is it?" ... Secondary questions are;

Can she be saved?
How can I prevent it happening from any others?

Don't grow in soil,I used to but right in the ground no nutes. so I can't help. but I'm looking scratching my head wondering if by chance an animal took a leak in that pot.haha sorry man it's no laughing matter but may deserve some consideration. Lol ;)

You're not the first to suggest that!

We have plenty of cats in the area - but given the height of the leaves - it would have to be a cat with a step ladder!
It's even at a height a dog 'spraying' and marking it's territory would be hard pressed to reach.
I also couldn't detect that pungent smell an animal marking usually has.

But what has me f***ed is that this happened in just 24 hours.
The contrast between the photos of the specific plant on Day 42 to Day 43 are worlds apart.

It really does look like someone tried to set fire to it.

Nah one thing I can say is its def drawing somthing up and killing the lower growth first and killing the outer edges of the leaves. Im pretty well versed with growing just in general so I can say that much. But man i gotta say Im sticking with my weird theory haha. Oh i just ment in the pot itself not on the leaves in 24hours could be more than long enough because I do believe after some hours urea turns ammonia!

Random [in desperation] thought ...

Could this in ANY way be connected to it being immediately after the amount of feed was increased?

Feeding on Day 40 was 3.5 litres.
Feeding on Day 42 was upped to 5.0 litres to prepare for a very hot day and also to satisfy the growing girls.
Damage became apparent Day 43.

Is it possible for plants to binge drink, take up too much water, and in extreme direct sunlight, burn themselves from over indulging?

Have you flush your plants at any time during your grow yet? Seems like you have a high enough ec that you might get a little salt build-up. I'm thinking I would have flushed once or twice but now if still in soil. It looks like nute burn happening in one Night is kind of a puzzle.

Hi Yozhik,

Im amazed that this just happened over night. Im fairly sure that this is some kind of heat damage. Was it a hotter day than usual yesterday?

Just so I comprehend the hypothetical ...

You think it might be possible for an animal to 'spray' IN the pot - not on the leaves directly - for the urea to then transform into ammonia, and for the plant to then uptake the ammonia in an act of self-immolation?

TBH man after hearing you say that i'm leaning toward other possibility's like perhaps you accidentally spilled something while adding nutes? in any case i would flush her but i cannot give any advice personally because this isn't my area. everything i say is mostly conjecture @Waira ?
