Help help help!!!

This will be my first ever grow but I've been doing some reading for about a year now. I'm only working with about $1800 to $2000 and stuck between a hard place and a rock. I'm wondering if building a room would be cheaper than a tent. I know lighting will take up the sum of the money. I'm planning on going with 12 plants in 5 gallon buckets but maybe gonna go up to 24 after the first go around. What size room would I need to fit 12 buckets (potentially 24), 2 osculating fans and a carbon filter? How many 600w lamps? Should I use 2 spectrums of light throughout the grow? Can someone get back to me a.s.a.p. I'm ready to get to going. Thanks!

I would think it's cheaper and easier to control the environment in a tent than try to build something in a room!

That should be plenty for a large tent, 2 600w dual spectrum (or extended spectrum) HPS lamps,

What size room would I need to fit 12 buckets

To grow monsters I'd give them 60cmx60cm floor space each. On a first grow that may be ambitious, so you could cram them in more.

2 osculating fans

To move your plants around

a carbon filter?

And an extraction fan - how big the extraction needs to be will depend on the size of the tent you go for.

You should work out what you need first. If you buy a tent that fits 12 plants in, it wont fit 24 plants in

Should I use 2 spectrums of light throughout the grow?

If you are decided on using HID lighting, then I would consider buying something like sylvania grolux extended blue spectrum hps bulbs. They don't last the longest, but they are really good

So do you think $1800 to $2000 would be enough to get add that I need for the tent and everything else that's need all the way to the beans?

That should be enough cash to do you a nice grow, I started with a ten dollar clone, a 5 dollar bag of Miracle Grow (which I will never do again), and a 75 dollar 15o watt HPS. So you can also add pieces later.

OK Eek. Since I'm looking to go towards 24 plants after the first grow, should I go with a tent big enough for 24 or what should I do. I need to know exactly what size tent to get. I'm ready to start ordering today or asap.

Sorry, had to do some sales calls yesterday, and couldn't get back till late. wow, 24 plants of what? Small auto's, Large Auto's, or Photo's?

Here is what I get out of my 3 x 3 tent, either Five Large plants, or 9 small auto's, If you want 24 Females (right?), then you gotta go four feet deep, and 8 wide, w/2 600 watt HPS's, or two 4x4 foot tents, but that means more extraction fan stuff. So IMO one tent would be more economical if you have the room. for my 3x3 tent I need about 6 foot of clearance to work around it. It is possible to put two together but you will still need a foot and a half clearance on both sides. IMO, in case you need to work. At least have good access to get to it in some way.

How much room to do you have. How much builing experience do you have? Do you want to customize a room?

Autos, its going to be in a basement and I'm gonna go with a tent like Blue suggested. Right now I'm searching for an reasonable priced tent. I see a couple but its like pin hole here, light leak there, can't hold much weight. Lol like you suggested Eek, I'm gonna go with 4x8 tent but I'm only gonna start with 12 for my first go around.
