Hello all

I am ready to start growing some roadrunner seeds i have, my set up is:-

grow tent 80x80x160
i have a HPS 600w and MH600w bulbs

I have plant magic soil and plant magic nutrients!

I am basically ready to roll and have been trying to learn as much as i can!

about lighting and water schedule, thanking you please!!

Good luck to you sleen,but i bet that 600w will be too hot in ther even with a cooltube if you dont have a cold cellar? what size extraction fan you got mate?

Sleen welcome to afn using plant magic I take it u are in the UK ? Are u using there chem nutes or oldtimers? I have been loving oldtimers for a long time lots of green karma sent your way :smokebuds:

Yep the good ol uk! i have chem nutes but going organic was always the plan! but i havent started yet so who knows but the seeds are germinating as of yesterday! with the auto flowering with the plant magic how do i use the grow nute and the bloom nute! do i just wait and use the bloom or the grow for the second week or so!

as for the bulbs i shall i go down to 400w? im not using a cooltube, using a carbon filter with a 5inch line fan

The tent is in a cold shed like environment!

Start grow nutes at 1/4 dose when it have 3-4 sets of leafs and se how them react. Switch to bloom nutes when they stopped vertical growth. If u dont have a cooltube i would go for the 400w,but try the 600w and see,maybe it stays in reasonable temps beacause of the cold shed. And welcome by the way:smokebuds:

oh i see! i should of thought about this hmmm! I think i'll change the ballast and bulbs to 400w! although soon enough being the uk we'll have a freezing cold winter and many many cold months following! I hard maybe taking the reflector away and hanging the HPS bulb vertically! just using the tent as a reflector!

I dont wanna burn my plants to shit tho

I would use 400w if you can not keep the temps down at 600w

water when dry light 20 / 4

the 600w maybe be ok in winter it will act as your heater and use a reflector they make a big difference in yield

sorry this might sound stupid but what does water when dry light 20/4? what sort of temp am i trying to maintain? lights on.. 21c - 30c
lights out.. 10c - 18c? Thanks!
