I just transplanted from soil to water while switching out a few leaves dried out and they have been in their for a day and the leaves seem droopy still roots aren't through the net pot yet but net pots have water half an inch up in them. Is that to much water going from soil to water? Should I lower the water level and let the roots grow to the water? Should my clay pebbles be soaked?

you want the water 1-2 inches below the net pot.. lots of air splashing water on the net pot , but not submerged.

Welcome to AFN @Leafeater! Yup the water should be below with the bubbles from your air stone popping at the surface and splashing the net pot. What strain are you growing?
Good luck with your ladies :vibe:

Yo Leafeater! Happy Monday, and have a :slap: for your very first flowers! This is where it gets fun.
You should check my sig. If you follow the new growers link it'll take you to the Academy. Start a threat there so we can all follow along.
Well done so far, my Friend! :coffee:

How far should I keep the light above there about 3 weeks old and using 8 tube 4 foot long

Welcome to AFN, congrats on going Hydro, you won't regret the decision. You don't have to constantly adjust water/nutes anymore for one thing, and they grow much bigger too.

I use LED lights, and start out at 30 inches, and closer as they grow. The way I check is with tht light on my hand, I hold my hand up at light height, and lower it down along the tent side untill the light beam fully illuminates my hand. That distance is the minimum height to get full canopy coverage. With the T5 bulbs, you will want to stay at least a foot away, probably more like 20 inches. But if the plants don't show signs of burn, and all parts are lit up, you're good.

I try to keep the water level close to the net pots, when they get bigger they drink fast though. The bigger your airstone the better, and the smaller the bubbles the better they oxygenate. I run extra drip lines off of my pump into the netpot, and let it "waterfall" out the sides (pointed down.) This splashes lots more water on the sides, and also adds lots of oxygen to the water right where it is most needed.
