Thanks
@epenguin i will.
Just been out to say goodnight to the girls and was met by the now familiar smelly greeting in the greater building into which the room exhausts. I realise this compromises my “fresh air” supply, as the inlet draws from the same space. However the space is large and the early warning when entering the outer door has saved me from disaster on a couple of occasions over the years. If it was pumping out to atmosphere with an unfavourable prevailing wind direction I would potentially miss a filtration problem for a while.
The filter is doing just about enough but there’s a horrible sweaty smelling odour that builds up a couple of times a day. Seems like there’s a pattern, almost like periods of high activity for the girls. Not sure but it appears to be the case. Early morning(for them) and late on. In both instances groom temperature is probably cooler than average, so intuitively I would expect low stink. Not so!
Not really times I wish to stay out of the room, as in one case it’s feeding time and the other is daddy coming to say goodnight and tuck them in. Perhaps it’s their way of saying hello, or possibly goodnight and thanks for all the fish!
Wish they’d bloody pack it in! Before beloved daddy has a coronary episode.
Anyway at day 76 from first appearing above ground they’re still smashing over a litre of full strength feed a day and visibly stacking and packing still. Not many ambers to speak of yet. Clear are also none existent in the main. Close, but no cigar!
I’m so happy with them though. No trouble at all right through. Like a well behaved grandchild, a joy. Perhaps the odd shower wouldn’t hurt them but nice girls really.
I’ve been planning a cob set up, or more accurately something to hang them from that will allow height adjustability. Not as simple as suspending a bar I’m afaid but I think I have a plan now after troubleshooting the problem with
@BigSm0. Nice guy.
I plan on buying a four pack with hopefully 3x 3500 autocobs plus one more suitable for vegging or supplementing. I only want two to three plants in a row to allow me more convenient access to individual plants and a view of their skirts to spot problems quickly. I unfortunately have some physical restrictions and struggle to reach forward with a heavy water jug or manhandle heavy pots at arms length. Crosses to bear and all that. A space down each side is essential for me.
Mind you, three foot wide plants and that’s me bolloxed. I had six photos in there once and it drove me nuts. I was able bodied at the time too.
Bet
@epenguin will think twice before making that request again and having to read a load of drivel I pump out in response, ha ha. Thanks for continued interest.
Cheers
