hi
First post. I wanted to say hello and give a brief rundown of my setup and current grow.
I’ve been growing for a number of years, started with photos and then autos later. These days only autos.
My groom is roughly 4x3. There is a small ante room about the same size with a mother cabinet, a cupboard and shelf for mixing. Makes a great airlock with the addition of a grill in the groom door. I used a 600 for ages but got sick of boiling all me terps off.
I have two fastbuds GSC at 75 days and so close I can smell em(very much as it happens!)
They’re under a 400 hps running 20/4 since they broke the surface. Little wigwam for a few days to keep humidity in and harsh light out.
Theyre in 15 ltr tubs of plagron lightmix and have been taking nutes since day 14 or so. They’ve both been topped at the fourth node and “bowl trained” with yo yos. I decided to pinch the branches on the near one in the pics but not the other.
I’m feeding biobizz organic for the first time comprising fish mix, bloom and topmax. Also gave a negligible amount of Kelp a couple times when I got bored.
I have fed them every day since day 21 or so when they began to flower after topping on day 16.
My approach has been to give them a wet feed of 2 to 3 litres, then building up to a litre of the same mix each subsequent day till the pot runs dry. Hoping this makes sense based on them drinking about 1.5ltr per day give or take once they got into they’re stride.
Every feed has comprised 2ml each of fish mix, bloom and top max per litre. I have never varied or fed straight water and have never seen any run off. So bloody easy it’s ridiculous. I’m a crippled, old, lazy stoner so that’s a good thing!
Props to @FastBuds as the plants have been an absolute pleasure to grow. They have stayed pretty much the same height, ending up at nearly 2 and a half feet and accepted the same watering and feeding routine. Despite the obvious phenotypical variation.
In addition to that they have accepted temps that have regularly got a little extreme. 51/52f many nights with a couple of 49 degree lows. An outbuilding in these parts is very difficult to manage in winter!
I have sensed a slight slowdown in their drinking about five days ago and thought they looked very dark green for they’re age. Accordingly i have removed the fishmix from the menu. There are some curled leaves from dailing in the 400.
I can see some amber trichs but not enough for me, I prefer a more sledgehammery experience.
The pics I hope to upload to accompany this post are pretty poor but I hope you’ll get the idea. Many hairs are ginger on both plants and the back girl has some lovely pink and purple hues going on.
Harvest pics and weights to follow in a week or two. Excited to see what they’ve achieved.
One word of caution to anyone considering this strain. The smell has been VERY extreme and my brand new filter is just barely doing enough. It sticks to your hair and clothes for ages. I have nearly panicked and chopped a couple of times. This room has handled several grows of exodus cheese and others without probs but these are breathtakingly bad!
Good vibes to all.
