Hi!
Its time to get my project started! I will get me some feminized HF&VA seeds to make some more feminized seeds mohaha!

I will order everything soon but before I do that I would just ask some last questions to get everything right!

Will Ionic silver work? Because I can buy it at a store near me, better then order it I guess.

I should start to spray when I see the plant go into flower right..? Once a day?

Your best bet would be to make your own CS. If you plan on reversing a few plants, it'll end up cheaper too. Once it pays for itself, you can produce CS for a few cents per gallon. If you won't though, and some people can't or just don't want to, you can buy it, but it won't be as good. Most bought "CS" has other things in it, and is no where as strong as the advertised ppm suggests. You only need ~20ppm with well made CS anyway.

Start spraying when the first preflowers show, and keep spraying until the first pollen sacs start to open.

If you use store bought CS, only spray the flower sites. because it will likely burn the plant, and can ruin leaves. That's one of the benefits to homemade cs. It doesn't burn the plant at all and can be sprayed all over the entire thing for a large, evenly spread dosing.


Depending who/where you ask, people will tell you that you either can or cannot use the same plant you reversed with cs, for breeding with it's own pollen. I'm one of the ones who think it has no negative effects. Using two plants however, should work just as well, and might get you more seeds since you'll have an entire plant full of female flowers to pollinate. If you use the same plant, all of the seeds will NOT be clones of each other. They will be siblings like those if you use two plants, and therefore, might have different phenotypes.

Also, all of your seeds will be females. The reason being that the egg cell has an X chromosome, and the pollen cell can carry either x or y, on normal plants, which is what determings if it is a male (XY) or female (XX). When you use cs to reverse a plant, all of the female pollen still only has X chromosomes, so when combined with an X containing egg cell, you always get XX (female).

No problem man. It definitely is pretty cool making your own and seeing it work!

You can use a PPM (TDS) meter, but it won't be completely accurate, so your best bet is to usea combination of a TDS meter, AND a cheap laser pointer. You shine it through the cs, and when you can see the entire beam clearly, it should be around the right ppm to be effective. it's called the Tyndall Effect, caused by the laser bouncing off of the millions of microscopic silver particles. Without a laser, well made CS can be visually indistinguishable from pure water

For comparison, this gave a 17ppm reading on a TDS meter:

Store bought "250ppm CS" had no visible beam, and burned the crap out of plants. This didn't have any visible affects aside from causing the plant to make pollen sacs.

I am smoking on some FnV I grew last summer with a five month cure it taste awesome...great strain IMO

I brewed my CS for 12 hrs with a 7.5 V generator I made and it made balls in about two weeks.
