New Grower Heavyweight Fast and Vast Auto Grow Journal

Just did some quick maintenance after getting off work. Wish I had a better camera. Around 40 days and this girl is getting frosty.

Yeah I feel ya. It's definitely all over the place. I'm close to maxing out the height of my lamp. I didn't expect this much upward growth. Some plants seem to have reached max height, however several are still climbing. The ones going nuts seem to be unorganized and stretchy. I'm afraid these will give me popcorn buds and not solid colas. There's only four that are behaving this way but still upsetting. The ones that are maxing out around 3 feet have very nice node placement and already forming 9 to 12 inch cola growths.

Funny how wild it was for me. I had three. One fox tailed into the ugliest plant I've ever grown. 1 was relatively well behaved peaking at around. Three feet and producing the densest nuggets. And the last was in what seemed eternal stretch during flower. It was a monster with a tree trunk stem and I had to wrap the top cola basically around the rest of the grow just to keep it in the vicinity of the lights.

I hear ya bud. On my next grow I'm going to grow three of these again and try a few different techniques. You hit the nail on the head that growth behavior is all over the board when you have a few or more at a time.

Better in any sort of system than the one I have. My GH Aeroflo18 is at it's best with smaller and more consistent and uniform growth. These are best in buckets or pots so you can easily adjust as needed.

Yep. I've made several mistakes with this run obviously. I underestimated the strain and had no business packing 12 of them in a 5x5. As I'm sure you know, clones are much more predictable but seeds carry characteristics directly from the plant that dropped them. You know you don't need to clone autos so seeds were my only option. Very unpredictable. However by the looks of it I'll have a nice yield. Plenty of time to go still and a shit ton of bud sites. Several Girls are already making some dense buds so I can only imagine what they will look like in another month.

They're unruly fuckers but you can hardly complain about bud production or quality. They're not super dense but they get sugar-coated as hell. These are real easy to underestimate.

42 days old. Today is the first feeding since I flushed them. Bud development has been insane. A few of the hairs in the buds have started to turn red, but just a few.
