Good afternoon and happy holidays friends!
My name is the HashyApache, and tonight I'll be your captain on your journey through the Rhizosphere!

I've been a long time lurker on the forums here for a couple of years now, and have been blown away by just how knowledgeable and passionate the community here is, so I decided to claim my spot, pitch my tent, and see whats shaking on shakedown street!

Just to give you all a little background, I've been growing outdoors for 9 seasons now, and have been growing indoors on and off for the past four years. Living in the far northern zone of the Northeastern US presented itself with quite a few issues when I first started. Frosts up here hit hard and early, with our first usually arriving around mid September, really limiting what strains I could grow. On top of that, rippers really hit hard here right before hunting season, which always seemed to be a problem for me. I spent many hours looking for strains which finished early, stayed short and squat out of the line of sight of rippers and LEO, and were resistant to pests and disease. Because of this I discovered autoflowers, and It was love at first sight.....

I started off nine years ago growing with the fox farms trio in ocean forest soil, but quickly discovered the power of organics and have not looked back since. After years of late night research sessions, a few books by Jeff Lowenfels, thousands of pounds of worm castings, dozens of 50 lb bags of dry organics, and tons of Sunshine Mix later, I have finally developed my own 100% organic Autoflowering supersoil mix. This will be my first trial run on my Apache mix, so I figured what better time to get a journal going?! I hope you all enjoy the journey even half as much as I do.

To give you an idea of what we are working with here, I've got a full sealed 14 x 20 foot room with 8' ceilings and 4 air cooled (cool tube style) 1000 watt HPS lamps (Which will be stepped up to 6k in the next month or so) all run by dimmable digital ballasts attached to a Titan Controls Helios 11 relay box. The lights are cooled with an 8 inch Can Max Fan Pro series inline fan that feeds air through the lamps from a lung room and exhausts them into an adjacent room past the grow room, allowing the room to be fully sealed and the environment (temp, humidity, CO2) to be fully controlled.

On this upcoming run I'm going to be growing each plant from seed to weed in [HASHTAG]#5[/HASHTAG] smart pots filled with four gallons of the Apache Blend soil on the bottom, and a single gallon of Royal Gold brand Tupur (Coco coil amended with ancient forest humus and basalt) on top to allow the seedling to give it a week or two to really establish itself before reaching the rich supersoil.

*LET THERE BE LIFE!*

Being a supersoil grow, I intend to feed little more than soil microbes, carbohydrates and RO water, but will also have the full line of Nectar For The Gods to be used as a supplemental feed later on in bloom (if needed at all).
Plants will also receive Microbe Life Photosynthesis plus (nitrogen fixing bacteria and mycorrizae), Colony X, Deep 6 carbon, OSA-28 orthosilicic acid, Mammoth P microbes, and z7 Flying Skull Enzymes.
Organic or not, dont let the bottled nutrient line scare you away, my approach to gardening is nothing short of TLO, and all of my focus is on my rhizosphere..... you know.... where the action really goes down!

Right now I'm finishing up my current Dutch Passion grow (which should be fully chopped hopefully not long after New Years), but next up we have a pretty diverse run ahead of us. In the room I will be cultivating...
-18 Dutch Passion Auto Daiquiri Lime.
-9 Dutch Passion Auto Ultimate
-9x Dinafem White Widow XXL
-3x Flash Seeds Number One Super Auto
-9x Dutch Passion AutoMazar

But until then.... Let me give you a quick taste of what we have finishing up in the room as I type this...

Just a touch of the Daiquiri Lime in all of her diesely citra goodness.... Picture was taken about a week ago, and is really packing on the funky resin.... Cant wait to pull her in the next week, and cant wait to have you all along for the ride!
Happy Festivus Friends and Family! Look forward to chatting with you all!

:spels: I'll be watching this one brother
Welcome aboard brotherman! So glad to have you along for the show!
Well, I figured since I have some ladies finishing up in the room, I may as well treat you guys to a little bit of organic flower porn....

First off we have the Dutch Passion Daiquiri Lime's in all their glory. There seems to be quite a bit of genetic variation with this strain, but every phenotype I have come across seems to hold something realllly special.
DL [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] has classic Christmas tree like sativa structure. Decent branching, great vigor, awesome production, and a fantastic lime aroma, butttt it flowers much more slowly, and has a more foxtaily flower structure, but with colas like this.... who is really complaining?

DL#2 is the fastest flowering phenotype of the bunch, and while she is the smallest of the bunch, she has incredible bag appeal. Between her purple foliage, her rock hard flowers, and an incredible diesel citrus aroma she is one hell of a keeper in my eyes, even if she is small in comparison to her sisters....

DL [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] is the best of all worlds. Huge, long, tight colas loaded with sticky dense flowers. Much larger than [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG], but quickly turning purple and giving her a run for her money. Mannnnn what I would have done to dust this one with a little pollen!

Next up on the menu is a little sample top from one of the 4 Dinafem Cheese Autoflowers I grew. All plants were relatively homogenous, chunky as hell, and greasy as a a possum!

Last but not least... a wonderful sample of the industry standard.... AutoMazar about a week out from harvest. Automazar is a strain that has been close to my heart for quite some time now, and with good reason.

Thank you for tuning in my friends! Cant wait to share more with you here in the near future!

*EDIT sorry for the sideways pictures! They were properly rotated in my computer, but they auto rotated when I uploaded them to AFN. Anybody know how to rotate these bad girls?! I dont want y'all to hurt your necks looking at my girls!*

I'll sub this up in a minute, sound really pleasing and i love your girls. Approaching from a similary way regards the soil, got my current grow linked up in signature if ya feel like hit it.
This will be pretty nice to watch...the pictures turn always to the long flat side if you dont rotate them and save afterwards, even if you pc/phone does show em right. had that issue earlier...anyways good luck rasta and see you soon, ready for the progress... :smokeit:

Really nice looking buds, bro, and I see you've got distinguished taste in music too.
:pass:
Eyyyyy! haha Thank you so much Jraven! I really appreciate the compliment. As you know, good bud and good music goes together like peas and carrots!

Hope everybody is doing well tonight!
Just a quick update for you guys. Yesterday we finished harvesting the DP think Big's, Dinafem Cheese's and the little itty bitty Dark Devil's and Black Cream's, so we spent the last day cleaning out the light, and sanitizing the space that the plants used to be in in preparation for the next batch to be filling up the space on Christmas day. In preparation for the transplant, I threw a dozen beans in paper towels to pop. Germinating is a pretty damn simple process for me. Instead of planting seeds directly in the soil like some do, I prefer to pre-sprout them in a moist paper towel enclosed in a sandwich bag that I use as a small terrarium. The only thing differently that I do that I have yet to see anybody else do during germination? I like to dose my germinating seeds with a very light dose of Zeus Juice (Humic acid and kelp extract) at a 20-1 ratio of RO water to zeus juice. One drop per seed seems to do a damn good job of softening up the seed casing with the humic, and the natural growth hormones (Cytoknins, giberellins, Auxins) from the kelp seem to give the seedling a quick metabolic boost and aid in the rooting process.
So far we just have the 9 Auto ultimates and the 3 Number 1 superauto in the paper towels, being sprouted. (Chose those girls because I figured they would have the longest life cycle out of the bunch)
Going to wait until tomorrow, and hope for a dozen glistening white taproots ready for transplant. We will get an update your way at some point on monday. Enjoy the holiday weekend everybody!
