Lighting Has anyone used BlackDog LED's?

all leds can be used from start to finish . but if you want to reduce the amount of power used when you need less ie in veg stage, then unfortunately so far that switch seems to come with a price tag. Area 51s SMGS150 does it.

I will never spend one red cent with blackdog!!! They had a booth in the exdo building at the cannabis cup. I went to their not 4 seperate times to learn more. I could no get the attention of any of the 5 people behind their stand. They were all to busy looking past me for someone with more money I guess.

Yes mate Grownorthern do ship to the USA :thumbs:and the 3w panels are the ones to go for,ms004 or ms006 are what most GN users here at AFN are using and getting great results mate,there's loads of grows to check out in the GN section :group: with LEDs having a bigger chip like a 5w is no better or efficient as a 3w.now that companies use good optics the can get penetration and and you will see 1w chips in action again very soon,the 1w is by far the most efficient to use.as has been mention mixing hid & led is perfectly fine and the norm for a lot of growers mate.hw big is the area your looking to cover mate?

So Red, if I was to get 6 of the GN Ms0006's and put one on each side of my 1000 waters do you think I would be alright. Or maybe do a comparison running HID down one side of room and the 6 led panels down the other....I just don't know how much area 6 Ms0006's would cover?

filling that with leds is a BIG investment mate.at the current exchange rate you could get 9-10 with the money your looking to invest,but I'm sure you could haggle a better deal 
each ms006 would cover between 2-3 ft sq,but with you having multiple panels you will also have light from each panel overlapping,which helps and you have a lot of flexibility with heights.and having the hid thrown in the mix it will be like a space ship
