Harvested NYC Diesel Auto Barneys Farm

its just personal opinion (opinion of an eejit) i think the dry/cure is more important than a flush....(((i think its the dry/cure/bud rh% that dictates if a joint has a white or black ash.after all a B&H has white ash and we all know how many chemicals are used in tobacco))
we are home growers using as close to organic as we can.we dont pump plants full of nutes/boosters/additives/or sprays for bugs that we dont have, like a commercial grow op would.
if an outdoor in the ground grower cannot possibly flush a plant, are we worrying to much over the flush ? which is a very debateable therory (pop22 has a long long thread on flushing) i have had to emmergency harvest a plant because i couldnt get the door shut on the cupboard.it didnt have any nasty taste/smells.
my normal practice is 2 or 3 plain waterings, just the same amount as id feed.( a flush is 3X the pot volumne) and then let the pot dry out for 3 or so days......may aswell start the drying process before its cut down
thats the theory and practice behind it according to me :baked: i could be miles away though as im more stoner than grower.
then theres the 48 hours darkness theory ? old wives tale
you are at the point thats very hard to go wrong now :smokeit:
good luck n keep er lit
:pighug:

Good man thanks you just pretty much summarised all that I came across when searching about the topic.

There seems to be no absolute right or wrong way of doing it just a matter of personal preference. Some very funny wacky stoner ideas of what will make the harvest better thrown into the mix for good measure but one I did come across Im going to try out is playing my plants some classical and jazz music see how they like it

Im just going to focus on keeping the environment in optimism range when drying/curing and hope for the best.

My little yellow fellow is also picking up thankfully

I've never tried serenading my plants, but they sure serenade me when I smoke it!
I'm one who doesn't do any specific flushing...just reduce nutes before harvest. I grow in biobizz lite mix and nutes are mostly biobizz...a slow dry and few weeks cure is my habit. Friends always comment how clean and smooth my buds smoke and that ash is white.
We've just had a weather change going from high to low humidity...a month ago drying took 2-3 weeks and now I have to fire up a humidifier....proper drying does definitely make a difference.

I presume flushing is not contributing to potency/THC. Perhaps, it may very subtly 'improve' appearance, taste and/or smell.

In terms of evolution, plants logically do not survive better if starved of nutrients during the last weeks of their life, the most critical part when the buds (seeds) are finishing-up. I presume these weeds do their work best, in nature making resin-protected seeds, when fed to the very end.

Have chopped her down day 74. Looking good very excited to consume just need patience now. Thanks everyone for helping with advice along the way looks like will get a nice bit off her the wet weight with stems 370g will update after dry and cure :d5:

Way to go. Congrats on getting to the finish line with such a great looking plant!

This migro light is no joke for sure :vibe: a lot of people talk a lot of shit saying that it’s too expensive and that you can make a light the same for much less than it costs to buy one this has proved that people are full of shit it’s done a super job pulling just 115w from the wall.

All laid out I’m doing a test run with the wedryer going to compare it to my little propagation tent which has a 4inch ram fan circulating air in the tent the buds trimmed upside down on hangers the rh is staying 50-55 and temp between 18-21 Celsius in the tent and roughly the same in the wedryer. I left some stems on the buds in wedryer just to slow the drying a little in there.
