Happy Frog Coco Top Feed

I am trying to plan my next grow planning on starting next week

genetics: Anvil from Mando, Wedding Glue, Strawnanna, and purple punch from fast buds

light: Mars hydro tsl2000

space: 4x2x6 tent

medium: I have a bag of HappyFrog I want to mix in some coco and perlite not sure on the best ratio here 50%/40%/10%?

nutrients: my ultimate goal is get through the grow just top feeding dry amendments and water. I have seen people have success with dr earth all purpose and flower girl but I’m not sure what the feeding schedule would be 50/50 at 3 weeks then just flower girl at 6? I am also open to other amending options also.

Hey there,
I would suggest not adding coco to soil. Coco and soil need to be treated differently and have different nutrient lines available from the nute companies. I've not seen a layered or blended grow go well. I'm currently in a soil/coco blend and, well, it's not gone well!

Perlite is fine if you want to up the airy porosity of the soil but I think you would probably be fine with just the HappyFrog on it's own. Maybe 30% perlite if you want to add something. More knowledgeable people will comment and have a better suggestion.

Just, ah, don't mix coco/soil.

interesting I’m fine with skipping the coco saves me money. I’ve just seen other people say it works well. my bigger concern is if just dry amending the top with dr earth will be good enough to get me through the grow

Well just got back the store decided to go with mother earth coco pearlite and Mother Earth dry amentments gonna give the Mr Canuck method a shot

My advice, stay off of youtube. That Canuk grows some pretty crispy plants.

Ehh I’m trying it on 2 out of 4 the other 2 prolly anvil and wedding glue will get happy frog and hopwood farm auto flower super soil
