Your plants always look so happy and beautiful!!!!! I can't believe the trich formation you have even on some of the larger water leaves!!!!!!! Testament to your organic skills!!!!!

Last question for now; should I throw some more perlite in the mix with the soil?? You gave me some very valuable advice about drainage a few months back, and I feel as if my soil could do a bit better, as I tend to only have to water every 4 days, and sometimes longer.. That's w/ an RH of <40% on a regular basis, so I'm thinking either I added too much EWC last time, or that I could use a little more perlite as that's what I have on-hand.. I'd rather use rice hulls from your recommendation, but I'm trying to burn through the rest of my stock here before I invest in anything else..

:pass:

yeah your the only one (minus a few who tag along too) who comes in,says anything, and likes my posts. I dont get many.funny as shit that way too. people say they wanna see my stuff and then post educational stuff, then I post beauty plants and then organic simplified learning basics about an overview and nothing. LMFAO how fucked is that eh?! pain in my ass. like a woman who has ZERO clue what she/they want LMFAO

well if your going through 4 days without watering and they are past transition phase they should be fairly rooted at this point. in 3-4 gallon post especially if they are cloth. Plastic or hard side containers will totally hold onto the moisture a day or more longer. so its hard to say atm. but if its 3-5 gallon cloth pot I would say add Perlite. rice hulls are excellent. problem with rice hulls is that they break down rather quickly broeseph. and then once they start to break down they mat and the aeration is gone and decreases by two fold since they are gone and now MATTED into the soil lessening the air getting through the soil. so perlite is the way to go here imo. maybe a few fist fulls of coco coir or so. but thats what Id do. do a textrue squeeze test broseph. it'll help.as long as it breaks up all proper n shuff it'll be fine with perlite n coco man. :D

Excellent point about the rice hulls.. I thought they might be a little more resilient than that, but I guess now.. I have a decent bag of perlite still, so I may toss a couple handfuls in the next mix just to lighten it up a but.. It's weird, some of my pots drain quickly, and dry out faster than others, but I try as hard as possible to use the same batch of medium every time, so that if I run into issues, I have an easier time sorting them out, instead of saying, "Shit, this might have been Kind Soil, or Super soil, or.... shit, I can't remember..." It's a big part of the reason I went organic was for the ease of operation once everything is set!!!!!

I think part of the reason people don't always comment is because honestly, your knowledge and growing is leagues above many if not most of the folks here, so in my mind, it could be a bit intimidating.. It's like talking to ANY of the bad ass growers here; where do you start?? I personally like to do the reading first and then ask questions later for clarification, but I know a lot of folks don't resort to that.. Usually, it's the opposite.. I will also mention that you and a handful of folks throwing in inputs, have put damn near every piece of pertinent information in one, easy-to-read location.. I guess it's up to those who are motivated the most to do the work!!!! I'm not planning on growing any 1lbs indoor monsters, but I DO plan on growing a handful of carefully selected, primo quality plants to grow and do my best to lead them to their smokey demise!!!!!! lol

Cheers man!!!! I truly appreciate the work and information/wisdom you pass on!!!!

Well I'm finally getting off my behind and mixing up my soil, bros,it's time to start thinking SOILand PLANTS! Just laid out the old blue tarp and dumped the base soil goodies on and started stirring. My backs been hurting so I'm trying to go easy, looks like a multi-day project. I can smell those plants of yours you know.:pass:

Yesssss!!! I'm getting amped because this will be the first time I attempt an outdoor grow.. Since it got "legalized" in MA, we can grow outdoors, so long as it's only visible from air.. So I'm planning on using some 15ltr pots and putting them in between some of my trellis plants like my cucumbers and squash to sort of avert eyes away from what's REALLY going on.. I'm gonna be growing some Samsarra Ultraviolets, A) because I got them free and B) because after reading their reviews, it sounds like a solid outdoor strain; mold and pest resistance is high and they only grow to about 2ft, even outdoors.. Perfect!!

I appreciate it!!!! I guess I'm still in awe, even after 4yrs of growing the amount of knowledge you guys have, and how long you've been doing it for.. Up until the medical portion came around here, I was always scared of growing because I always lived in urban/suburban areas, so it wasn't easy to pull it off!!! Then, I come on here, and guys like you have been doing this for years, as if it was nothing!!!!! lol I soak it all up, so don't ever be scared to share your grows, guys!!!!!! You all have some fans out there!!!!!
