Hello everyone,
I had a thought this evening. You can make a DIY grow tent out of those bags they sell at the super market for storing your ice cream on the way home. If you take a few of them and cut them appropriately, you can even use the zipper already attached as part of your grow tent.

I'm starting to work on the schematics right now, but i was wondering if anyone else ever did this or thought of this

Tents are cheap as chips bro.

If you factor in all the effort and craftsmanship required to make a air tight and light proof tent it's probably outside most people's ability.

Would be interested to see the finished product though.

Probably why I think different than most, I'm not a bro ;)
It is more of a project than actually a real reason, but for those who are paranoid about purchasing grow tents and willing to spend the extra time on the project, they can make a grow tent.

@mexinor17 thank you! It will be a long term goal as im first and foremost trying to get my pain under control.
I am measuring all the bags and such, i do believe wholeheartedly that we can reuse the zippers and not need any thing but extra pvc piping to hold it up. it would allow me to make a super mini grow tent by just putting 4 together.

Bummed to hear you are in too much pain to implement your idea. I like the concept thought....years ago some friends and built a fairly large tent using pvc frame and plastic tarps. We failed to consider ventilation and had a lot of problems and wound up abandoning the idea. But with an autoflower you dont need absolute darkness so you can make a vent hole

a cardboard box ?

some ideas

Neat!

that's a good idea there too. I was thinking Mylar so there would be a more even distribution of the lighting.
