Hey All,

I'm seeing some pictures where the plant is one giant cola bud, with no side branching at all. "Izzy wizzy"I've got lowberry seeds from Dutchbreed. A really good berry-smelling, strong high. All the pictures of this strain are shown with the plant being one giant cola. So how does one treat the plant to accomplish that? I seeded my plant last time, so I've got hundreds of lowberry seeds right now, so I don't mind experimenting with many plants.

So yes, one needs to have the right variety, as some are less branchy. Well, lowberry looks to be one of those, no? I found it to be as bushy as any other I've grown though, when I grew my seed crop.

Fertilizing and light? Does that contribute to a central bud, or is it more just the trimming?

Anyone with experience with this? Pics would be great if you have any.

Thanks!

I would email dutchbreed to get the specifics on how they do theirs as I am pretty sure they use SoG (sea of green) methods.

That result can be accomplish by several techniques such as fimming, snipping side branches, and careful adjustment of lights and nutrients, but plant selection is important also.

I don't personally want to grow those types of plants, but It takes the same a bit of dedication to keeps plants small & compact as it does to make them big & heavy yielding.

Thanks! That's a great idea. I'll head to their site and find their email. It's pretty cool that I even have their seeds, because they don't ship to the U.S. I guess they used to, and I got some seeds from a friend, and now have a ton of them. I'll probably get the same height, but I'd guess a lot less product than if I left all of the side branches. I have growing a cross of auto AK from Lowlife, and lowberry. The cross looks amazing. Growing large like the AK, but the AK skunky smell has been replaced by intense berry smell, even more berry-smelling than the lowberry. Berry is often nute sensitive and a bit of a challenge, but this hybrid I've bred is super-healthy and big and loaded with fat white hairs. Anyway, thanks for the post!

--I just tried emailing Dutchbreed. I got an error saying it was undeliverable because they have too many email in their
email box. Anyone else have any ideas for me in growing a plant like described above? Thanks!

Most of those guant single cola plants are lollipoped

If you do an image search on the internet for Dutchbreed lowberry marijuana, you see the plant. It doesn't lollipop, where the stem is bare and the top larger. One long cola, from soil to top of plant - the whole plant is just one big cola. That's what I want :smoke:

They prolly grew them straight 12/12 unless they are autos but remember there will be variation within the genetics of the same strain

Yep, lowberry are auto. I guess I'll just have to play around with some of the plants, as I've got tons of seeds. I grow 20/4, and will just prune and prune I guess.

Here's the link to a picture of lowberry. It's the second picture down on the autoflower section. I'd like to get a plant to look like this.

Here's pics of my attempts of a no-branching, all-cola plant. This was in just one cup of soil. Imagine a whole grow room of one-cup containers growing right next to each other....That could be hundreds of buds in one little grow tent. Anyway, fun to experiment, since I've got hundreds of seeds I've saved.
