They mainly are used for exhaust. But I use it because I smoke in my room & it filters that out before the cool room air goes in. I just tried a bunch of stuff til I found what works.
My 5' x 10' x 7' tent now stays 77 - 79 F & RH runs 50 -65%. I'm thinking about adding my small Humidifier also to see if I can get it to 77 F with 65 - 70% RH. Believe me.... I never expected to get this close to perfect temps & RH. So much so that I went out & bought 2 - 50# Co2 tanks, regulator, Atlas 3 Controller & Lines to prepare for high temps. Now I don't even need it so going to put it up for sale.
I have grown in temps as high as 94 F. I got huge ass buds & the smoke was killer. The buds were light as a feather though & huge. It fluffed up twice as much. I can't complain about it at all. I've had people ask me to do that again but I no longer use HPS so I don't think I can.
