hey guys,

i was wondering if anybody had any advice on growing in a dorm room haha, my lil bro is gunna be a junior in college and wants to grow while hes away. so is there a way to use a 150watt hps or something else in a very confined manor that is smell less/small and compact?

woops, just saw the micro growing subforum, my bad yall

Seems pretty risky to me. Too many people living in close proximity and somebody else always has a key and could come in whenever they want. When I lived in a dorm, most people were cool with weed but there were always a few dicks that I worried would narc if they got pissed about something. It would suck to have your brother not only thrown out of school but end up with a felony record at a young age. Not a good way to start off your adult life.

But if he's going to do it, I'd recommend a stealthy PC grow. Nobody would be suspicious of a PC in a dorm room, and with CFLs there isn't as much concern about heat and ventilation. Just get the odor under control and it should be very hard to detect. Plus it's in such a small, portable package that if there was ever a worry about getting busted, it can quickly be picked up and taken to a safe place. The micro subforum has some good stuff about PC grows.

hes doin on campus apartment style living. no RAs really and seperate bedrooms..

i still wouldnt do it in a dorm no matter what...... apt's are already REALLY risky and anything past that is past my threashold of risk since im assuming this isnt a MMJ state he is in and if caught will loose ALL FINANCIAL AID.......

Dorm room isn't worth it, off campus appt is the best bet.. but to play devil's advocate, if it really has to be done - check the micro grow forum and message GnomeGrown for more questions on his stealth speaker box and how he took care of it. There's no light leaks and I'm pretty sure he handled smell, speaker or PC grow would be his best bet. Put it in a closet after that and change the lock until questioned.
