New Grower Growing for colors :)

I have grown this strain in happy frog soil with roots organic nutes a few times, in miracle grow 9 month feed soil and out doors in my organic garden. It is a little more sensitive to nitrogen than other autos I have grown and dose not like quiet as much but all in all is a fairly easy plant to grow. It also dose not like being over watered. I had it next to 2 of my Purple M-80 that I had over watered and they were fine but the purple kush had started to droop even though they were watered the same. It will go any were from 70-80 days. I have grown under a high out put 8 bulb T5 with 4 3,oooK bulbs and 4 5,400K bulbs a few times, under 6-26W CFL bulbs on a power strip and under my 250W CFL and I think it is 3,000K if I remember and I have grown my 50-50 cross " Purple M-80" under a 250W MH for veg and 250W HPS for bloom with 4 plants in a 10 gallon pot in a closet barley larger than the pot. The Purple Kush is self is not potent at all but the purple color and unique smell is very dominant. The 50-50 cross has a lot of cool colors in it. Its about 50% purple like you would expect but there are a huge range of colors too of pink and reds in the buds when broken open and the buds have a weird gray tint or a blue to them when dried. Out side this year the Purple M-80 turned more purple though with out much of the cool pink and reds or gray due to lower temps. I have grown this in a room at 80*+ and it is just as purple as high 60* inside. The temp swing of outdoors dose give a richer deeper color to the rest of the plant though. The buds don't look much different but the leafs and stems go more purple out side.

I am going to cross the purple kush later with some other strains. My next cross for it will be with Himalayan Blue Diesel as far as autos go. I do a lot of projects so its going to be an on and off thing as I grow for smoke and work on other projects. In the works on a photo cross now that's going to be taking up the rest of the year. This should be way interesting though in about 1.5 months when you see what I am working on

Like the plant oldcoot you all have no idea how much it sucks to grow and not smoke. I have not smoked for like almost 6 years now. I have taken a few puffs hear and there like I smoked on my wedding night I think was the last time a few years ago. Its like being a pastry chef and being a diabetic with no insulin.

Thanks, its suppossed to be a cream auto by blimburn seeds.
It was 3 ft tall and i had to supercrop the tops for my cabinet.
I did not do a journal but you can read about it in my thread - the auto i tryed to stop growing in the general thread, its about 5 pages back now.
I ended up with over 5 oz's dried plus sugar trim and leaves.
Every body loves the taste and a really nice mellow high !!!

Oldcoot that plant was a beast started out like a red headed step child moved up in the ranks I see! Wow their beans arent expensive at all either on herbies website worth a try in my book

Odd question and many consider it cheating..but if you run the last couple day before harvest flushing with Ice Water isnt that suppose to shock the plants purple or darker? I know the cold weather outdoor has been know to do it.
