Hey everyone. I am not going to make this a journal, but a review based on a current run. December of 2018 I purchased 3 Candy Kush (CK) Autoflower and 3 Blueberry (BB) Autoflower from Growers Choice Seeds based in California. They sat in my fridge for a little over a year. Out of the six seeds five germed - not bad. Out of the 5, 4 sprouted - that could go either way, growers error or genetics. The only major problem I've had is my CK1 plant had an inner husk from the seed clamped the coytledons together. They remained clamped together for 9 hours when I finally gave up on Mother nature and carefully removed the husk. CK1 has shown mutated growth patterns since. some of the others have also shown minor mutations. All in all they look strong. This is at 26 days for the CK and 19 for the BB. I staggered the sprouting by seven days since the harvest window was shorter for the BB, thinking these will flower like any good autoflower breeders genetics. The CK has not shown sex yet. CK's in front, BB's in back.

My experience is they are some hardy genetics I over fed at 1500-2500 ppm at times and no signs of stress.

I had 2 tangerine dream and they went about 120 days. Crazy yields with 2 plants I had 350 grams about 175 each.

Quality was decent really good taste and aroma however kind of lacked in density resin and trichomes.

Good luck with your grow the plants look great!

Nice they look very healthy bud so ur doing a good job and the strains you've chosen are great I hope they treat u well, I will say that all the growers choices grows I've seen don't look bad but 120+ days is to long I couldn't justify it many others I can harvest@ day70 so that is something to consider before popping another check out my journal in the indoor growers section it's called mephisto/my crosses

I just tried germinating 2 CK's from GC. One germinated and is now a week old. The second seed is still soaking for another two days then I will see what GC says about it. I've only had the seeds for a couple months.

Those are good looking plants. I'll keep an eye on your grow. Smooth sailing and all. :peace:

It bothers me they haven't shown sex yet. I saw somewhere on some forum that someone actually spoke with someone at GCS a growing question, and they answered. They told them you can switch to 12/12 then back to your normal light schedule, this will trigger them to "autoflower"... I may actually try that this weekend when the BB's are about 25 days...

There is a guy on here that's ran there hear I'm going to tag him now. @Jc420bigbud

I did actually n yes thats what i was told n i did it with a blueberry auto n a critical purple auto n it did work. I tried it with an ak auto n it didnt work. So its a so so strategy good luck to you. I still occasionally drop a gcs bean but they in my opinion n that opinion has changed are not very good at breeding genetics are all over n quality is ok but you can definitely get better. Lots of really good companies out their putting in a lot of work to give u whats advertised its worth shopping around. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the reply @Jc420bigbud. The fact that they told you that tells me a lot about their genetics.

I've had a recent bad experience with Growers Choice.
I placed an order for a few different strains.
I tried to germinate 12 seeds, including 2 GC Afghan autos.
10 of 12 sprouted, but the 2 GC afghan autos showed no signs of life after 2 weeks.

About a week ago I filled out their online contact form, but received no response.
Today I started a chat with them, and was told that because I didn't have pictures of the failed seeds, they won't be replaced, and no other compensation will happen.

This wasn't my first order, and I've been happy with everything else.
I would've thought that they would want to keep a repeat customer happy.
There are enough good breeders out there that putting up with this kind of treatment is unnecessary.

I had trouble with germination also. 1 of 3 didn't germinate and their BS to get replacement is not worth the $$ or hassle. Won't be buying from them again either.
