Seed Bank Growers Choice Seeds - An ongoing review

I had trouble with germination also. 1 of 3 didn't germinate and their BS to get replacement is not worth the $$ or hassle. Won't be buying from them again either.
That's wats sad though bc as small growers I no I don't jave much if any extra money so trying out genetics is so hit or miss you would think bc of all the good genetics it would be very competitive but from wat I see not so much especially when for example I buy 3 or so strains from a place it will take 6months to find out they suck I've been disappointed more times than I can count really and have had better results from small scale breeders and such bc I think they really put the love in. @Jc420bigbud his pineapple is like 90 days old and still not flowering which is by all accounts ridiculous and should not occur ever if bread properly.

I just started growing autos indoors so its a new world to me. I grew photos outdoors and never really had any problems with seeds, including germination, I don't know. Old stock, or rushed to get on the market, or poorly examined before shipping? Ya for us tiny growers on little budgets it stings.

The way I understood them is that they are in Ontario Canada and California but you can buy their seeds Wholesale and sell their genetics as a rip

97 days today Pineapple Express Auto still no signs of flower. I used one of these 3 seeds to breed My Whats My Name ( Bubblegum x Pineapple Express). I have had 4 of their auto's not auto. I have had seeds from the same set of seeds auto as well so as far as being consistent they are not. The weed is ok though if you are patient but Im not here to grow OK weed I guess. Don't get me wrong though I did as well grow out Growers Choice Last year outdoors and hit over 13 pounds off 10 plants of theirs but Im an outdoor grower I could get a pound off a tomato plant lol. I grew out ACDC CBD I had 3 1 was definitely a Indica the other 2 were sativa all 3 had different aromas and flavors. None of which I would consider a CBD strain quite a soaring high. I grew 2 OG Kush 1 was definitely a kush very lemony like the old og kush but the other was very floral and soft in flavor and grew huge airy buds nothing like the og kush im use to. I also did 2 C99 plants and again both were totally different 1 sativa 1 indica one smelled of rotten meat and had huge dense buds and the other was very berry smell and flavor and grew rock hard golf ball buds all over it. I contacted them last summer looking for a sponsor for this years grow and showed them some of my results using their strains and asked them if I could help them out with their genetics (I asked if I could test for them) they told me they were too small of a company to have testers and give out freebies. LOL . Anyways they are selling weed seeds so I guess at least they are getting that right. Some people just get into this game for $$$ and others actually care about marijuana and its benefits IMO they are in it for the $$.Their are lots of big breeders out their who do care and put in the efforts to making a good product and lots of new up and comers who are looking to make their mark in breeding and genetics people who actually care. It is disappointing that yes GCS was my first experience with autoflowers and it is for many of us from north america on here and sadly your probably not going to have a great experience from them but autoflowers are a great way to grow and hopefully companies like GCS don't hinder the growth of the Autoflower Revolution!! I will go out on a limb and say IMO, Growers Choice as a seed company wont last super long as their are so many people who do actually care about what they do and want to have a good standing in the cannabis world that with bad business practices and iffy genetics their is no way that they will be able to hang for long. They have repeatedly turned down offers to join AFN and get help from our community so they have already shown their intentions to me by this act and have forever lost my business, who as a company would turn down a grower that could and would advertise their genetics with the ability to grow multiple LBS per plant? Dinafem and HSO sure picked up quick on that offer! All of this said I am a rookie basicly to autoflowers with only 2 years of experience with them but I have 22 years of experience with photoperiods outdoors and have been breeding for the last 5 years which most of my knowledge on the subject comes from the internet, you tube, and talking with breeders on here. I have also had several good experiences with them though too. My best yielding auto was a blueberry of theirs at 4 oz's but it was also one that I had to flip to 12/12 for a week then flipped it back to 19/5 to finish flowering and it took over 130 days which in that time I could have grown over a lb outside with a photo. Their Bubblegum Auto would be their most stable genetic ive seen which all flowered in 90 days and autoflowered as advertised. Their sour kush was my worst experience having only 1 out of 6 seeds germinate. Ak auto out of 3 none autoflowering. Critical Purple takes well over 4 months start to finish and none ever turned purple. Candy Kush is ok but none of them grew the same or tasted the same and 3 out of 9 seeds didn't germinate. Tangerine Dream all did well in growth and yielded nicely but all of the smoke was very weak and hardly had any trics on it. I suppose I could go on and on about this but Ill stop here and just say good luck to anyone who tries them out and if you like them then great but if you dont then you are not alone.

Hope everyone is hanging in there. Just an update on these GCS seeds. Down to 3 plants now as one BB did not flower. Good news is they are staggered flower so they should finish about the same time. I am having some fungus gnats (2 on a yellow card). Letting top of soil get dry so the larva can’t survive. Again I question the genetics and the breeder (whomever they are). Of course the end result is what I will base my final “buy again, or not” on. Stay healthy my friends, we’ll get through this.

Glad that I read this,I was ready to order from them. Not now, this is going to be my first experience with autos and I want it to be a good one. Thanks.

Big variation in the Candy Kush. My thinking is the one in the front left is what they were going for. The back one is way different in height and bud growth. A couple bud shots also.

:smokeout: hey guys, glad you chimed in, and that Capt'n JL started this thread.... as a warning! ....... from what I read here, all of you have had the same type of problems we have seen here in other grows! Growers Choice has shown very poorly here, a lot of peep's in Sick Bay with issues; non-auto's, or grows with problem plants like yours: muties, poor germ'ing (from good growers, not their fault), lousy pheno after lousy pheno,... All are hallmarks of sloppy, fuck-all giving breeding, thieving of other's genetics, indifferent testing... Seriously, one of the worst we've seen here... They are like FoxFarms soils, somehow they keep afloat selling their shit products :doh:..... Some folks get OK stuff, others get swag!
Capt'n, good luck on the finish mate :goodluck:... you gave a fair try like many have,... feed the rest to the birds!

@Waira I agree with you. The end product is not worth the hassle, So I can say with certainty that I won't be investing in any Growers Choice Seeds from here on out. Everyone needs to make their own choice as I did, I hope this helped. That said, I am looking forward to the finish of the blueberry, it has an intriguing aroma, sour blueberry muffin type of scent. I'll show the harvest when that comes...again way too long for an auto.
