Damn, things have gone wrong =(. I decided today to just take the gamble and risk it, and water with pH-adjusted water to fix the problem. I lost said gamble.
Basically, I watered with pH 7.7, and the runoff was 6.3, which seemed fine. I put a fair amount of water in (about twice the pot's volume?) and after testing the runoff, I disposed of it so the tray at the bottom was empty.

This was a few hours ago, sadly when I checked it just there, the whole plant is drooping. I'll post photos if needed, but it looks exactly like what I've read overwatering to be like =(.

What should I do? Am I screwed? >.<.

the suiggestions from herebe4 are good... also... you need to continue adjusting... 7.7 in and 6.3 out indicates more in the 5.8 range in the soil... go a little further and come up another nothc or 2... once ph is on point you should burn up excess water fairly quick... chopsticks and soil aertion is a good idea!

Thanks JM. My soil, thankfully, is really quite fluffy, since it's like 20%-30% perlite. I've just done what hereb4 suggested. I know I need to adjust it more, I didn't want to shock it too much by putting it up too quickly. I'd ordered some hydrogen peroxide, which should arrive tomorrow. Thing is, what I really need to know now is, should I wait 3 or 4 days for the soil to dry out (which is how long it typically takes, sometimes 5) so I don't end up drowning it? Or is there some other way to adjust soil pH without risking overwatering?

Ah, okay, then I will adjust the soil pH down as soon as my peroxide arrives, which should be in a few hours (its 6am atm, post arrives between 9-12). Yeahh, I have an odd sleeping pattern ^^;

Hey all apologies for the late update. Here's the plants as they are now, day 34.

There's still some damage on the newish leaves, which makes me start to suspect that my pH meter might be off. I watered yesterday and the water was 8.1 whilst the runoff was 7.2, which made me think it would be okay.
As you can see in the second post, I still can't seem to make the plant stop leaning. Also, the older damaged leaves, as visible in the last post seem to be gonig yellow. Is this normal?

Thanks again for your patience in answering my questions everyone =).

?

thats why mate...

6.3-6.5 is the sweet spot. :hump:

Ah, alright, I already knew that I'm wanting 6.3-6.5 in the soil. Just what pH values in the water and runoff am I looking for? I've got dyscalclia, so I think the numbers might be confusing me, since I literally can't work out the difference between those numbers and how that would affect the soil pH >.<. I thought that something with a high pH going in that went down when it went out(the runoff) suggested the soil was slightly lower than either? Or am I getting it wrong? If so, what is it I'm getting wrong?

right on... you gotta come down..

flush the pot 3X its volume with plain 6.3 ph'ed water....

then test runoff... ideally.. water in @ 6.3-6.5 and out @ 6.3 - 6.5

if you water at 8.0
nd runoff is 7.2

soil is probably at 6.8 or so I'd guess... hope that helps... you're on the right track

:toke:

once ph is corrected... resume current nutrient schedule as though you missed last feed (you will have flushed it mostly out)

once again... ph this solution to 6.3 - 6.5

Cool, thanks. I've flushed using water at 6.2 and runoff was 6.5, so it seemed okay. I've made some holes in the soil and left some kitchen towel underneath it to help absorb the excess moisture so the plant doesn't suffer too much, and in a few days when it's dried up again, I'll give it a nice nutritious compost tea.

Thanks again =).
