Hello AFN.
Last season I had great success with first auto grow (MG coir, chem fert, 1000w HID) - I got several months worth of highly stoney smoke out of just nine plants.
I grew photoperiods too - not so much success. Out of 13 photos, I got only five good plants. The problems arose purely because the gro op took so long: the dogs wanted to lie in the afternoon sun so they dug away some earth that compromised light integrity in my boathouse, by May it got too hot, I tried to grow a bunch of "freebies" (probably haze strains) that mostly never flowered, etc..)
I have a seven month MJ gro season (Oct-Apr) before it gets too hot.
This year, I am thinking about only growing autos.
I like the fact that I can run the lights 20/4. This makes it much easier to maintain proper temperatures. If I use several different strains, as one gets harvested and space opens up in the gro room, I will be able to easily replace it and start another auto growing.
Whaddya think?
