hell ill smoke two or three with you mate. :smokebuds:

i would be honored for you to post them here warts and all. I will have the warts here too as i want people to see that there are issues in growing
they all cant be super stars.....yet :firedevil:

i think it will be good, it will show the way that autos grow best from two perspectives. then they can choose what they like and go with it from there.
Let me know when you get back from the UK and well get rolling. I will probably start a head of you but that is ok. As your progress stick them in here for the masses to enjoy.

Day one

Tonight when i get home i will be starting everything to get ready for this live grow. I want to bring this to you from seed germ to plant harvest. I will have plenty of pics of everything AND i want to do videos. If i can find the camera i will do vids as well.

wiz can tell you that i have always wanted to publish an auto book, and i will do it once its finished. I am close to having it edited so it should be soon.

But until then i am going to use this thread along with wiz to get my method out there and get you all to grow stunner girls.

So tonight i will begin the process, i removed the seed from the cold storage about 2 days ago. They have been getting room temp since. I like to let them sit out at least 2 days to get to room temp. After that i place them in a paper towel. Now most of you that have read my Hefty auto thread see that i recommend direct to soil, BUT since we are going to tier them i am taking a different approach. To show you just how i get what i get.

since i have time ill type out the wording and get pics tonight when i start the process. Now that the seed has been to room temp ill wet a paper towel with warm water and then wring it out. Take the seed that i have prepped and place them in the we towel and then in a baggie. There is no need to pre-soak, scuff, or do anything else to the seed other than place it in a paper towel.

After this is complete and you have your seed in the towel and in the baggie, place them in a dark warm room. I usually go for the laundry room as i have a Gas water tank in there that generates low amounts of heat and of course the dryer. After 2 days i check the beans. usually they have tails at this point. If they have tails then we want to plant them, and if there are a few with no tails give them another day and i bet they crack.

Now from here it is to the 160z party cup filled with JIFFY seed starter mix and that is IT. If you use anything with ferts you WILL get a high ratio of males. Please take heed to this as i have seen it time and time again. Seems the more virgin the soil the more females i get.

There are a few more things that i want to touch on but not until we get heads above the ground. Ill go over container sizes and other items tonight when i add the pics.

hey no worries glad to have you along, Ill be here to answer any question that you may have.
Thats why i wanted to make sure that no one feels pressure as we all may not be able to start.
I have to get the move on as i will need smoke for the winter

Yea exactly smoke for the winter out of 6 seedlings I have 1 and its a male to boot but hey i think i have the Sourbubble pheno in male form so im not too madd lol gonna drop the rest of my s60s and follow along here too. Good Karma vibes sent your way bro. :toke: Im going for a seed run so quantity isn't a top priority i have a nice photo going outside and hopefully the smoke i get from her will last until i can harvest the s60s. Im gonna keep them in the 16oz party cup the whole time.

Different Germ Method

Well FD hope you don't mind but since your shooting to make this an instructional thread I thought that I will post the method I use, and I am positive many others use this way as well. I drop my seeds straight into water, doesn't seem to matter which kind as i have used tap water right out of the sink for me but it might not be the same for you, to be safe buy some R/O water and some brands of bottle water list thier water content on the label. Anyway after you get your water sterilize the container you plan on using I rinse with peroxide. Drop them seeds in and wait 24 hours. Now some people say to wait for them to sink the ones that don't are less viable I say no way. I have never let my seeds sink ever just have been to antsy to get them going and I have a 100 pct germ rate on seeds that are a 1yr old or less. Now when i say 100 pct germ rate i mean they crack shell and show taproot, not meaning they pop above the soil. Sometime they grow weird and i have had seedlings die because they grew upside down. Anyway most of these results are from photo seeds but I can say ALL of the auto seeds I germed grew taproots and popped above soil. If you read this far well thanks for hanging in there well after 24 hours of soaking I use a paper towel to cover the top of the container and strain the water out leaving the seeds on the towel. NOTE make sure you use something that is durable dont want the seeds falling or anything. I then take those seeds and plant them an inch down or more. ANOTHER NOTE okay alot of people recently have had problems with seed casing coming off. Now IMHO this is because people are planting the seed to shallow not giving the seedling enough friction to shake loose its shell when popping up. I found that if you plant it just a little bit deeper than you would usually plant them there is a better chance that the casing will come off naturally. I know your scared of your babies not poking thier heads up but think about it they grow vigorusly they will pop their heads they wanna live its called WEED for a reason lmao anyway here are my 8 s60 soaking up some water before I plant them tomorrow. I am shooting to find that special female to match my SB male with. Anyway FD if you feel like im hijacking your thread I can post in my own only.:D

Oh yeah. Can't wait to see what tricks fd pulls out for this one. Happy growing everyone. For the germ method in my experiences (I live by the beach so really high humidity 65+) the paper towel can develop mold/mildew if left unchecked. I have to use coffee filters instead to prevent this.

Like the method ILI and glad to hear that it works for you, but i have had several attempts at this and no avail.
BUT i always say do what works for you if this has given you success then dont change it.
Its how i got where i am today with all of my methods. Found something that worked and then didnt change it.

Something in me says thats too much water in that glass but i have heard that this method has worked for several others
its just me thinking about the seed i guess

something like this ...........:help: :D

sounds interesting but im on a low budget of around $250

and we can make that work. What is your set up as far as lights go.
If i have an idea of what you are working with i will be able to get you in or under that range
