Hey stunted, I'll look through my spam, so sorry I haven't replied! How were you emailing me? at my email address or by using the websites contact page?

I'll start testing it today to try and find the break.

Also, 4.11 is all but ready I'm just finishing some bug testing.

I'm uploading ver 4.11 now. This version mainly contains a new preferences panel that will allow you to set up the software for your countries i18n.

I would love to hear what other people think is needed in the software...

I have been emailing using my at live.co.uk email addy, I will try using my other one later, after I get 4.11

A calendar in the software would be nice :)

The latest version does contain a calendar but you need the dispensary level license (yet to be announced) If you can get ahold of me I'll upgrade you so you can see the new features

You can send it in a private message.
And I will try emailing you using a different email address.

Just release version 4.132 which is built off of Filemaker 12. One of the best features of this new version is...
  1. you can now run this software on the iPad with any of the paid versions, no more do you need the pro version for the ipad
  2. The ipad "FilemakerGO" software is now free so you will be able to get up and running on your ipad for no additional cost!

I was iffy on your software, but having seen your support for your product, its cross platform nature, your openness to harsh criticism and your ability to innovate with users requesting features, this seems like a truly organic bi directional development of an important piece of software, in a niche that is sadly void if you have searched. Not to suck up to much but if you kept development up I do not see why this couldn't expand into Greenhouse management as well or Farm Crop management at some point unless some unseen scale issue is there.

Earlier someone mentioned the backdoor password, I had the idea given some people want it, and some do not, could you enable it as an option that the end user must chose to apply, perhaps encoding their license key into their MED files, some would desire this for translucency legally, others however could simply never enable the option, thereby avoiding it all together, I'd hate to see you scrap a feature you took time to develop. Make progress not regression right?

Also I'd suggest if you think the software is talking behind your back acquire the equivalent of Little Snitch, sniff the traffic or order it to silence, don't believe the developer, or anyone for that matter, if you have your own suspicion in any arena, it's your job to investigate the truth for your own mind, anyone can pay you lip service. I have no reason to believe this the case with Geeky but this is a best practice principle.

I have one feature request of my own, I'm using LED lighting, I'd love to see LED relavent data fields available in the program, and an accounting in the flower date projection for the fact LED grown usually finish a week earlier than HID, I'm having to do all these adjustments by hand on paper as I lack the requisite skills to factor these into a spreadsheet, and even then it wouldn't be nearly as nice as you incorporating it into what you've already achieved.

Thank you, I'll be using the discount later today to acquire the program, glad I ran into this thread, thank you to the forum as well for giving the soap box.

EDIT 1: Also, I know you must already be thinking this, but a way to make it tri-platform in the long run, I'm sure people on Linux are chomping on the bit to give you some cash.

Firstly, Thank you for your kind words.

Currently the Backdoor password is not included, and hasn't been for several versions. I do like your thought though... I will add this to the to-do list

Couldn't agree more. The newest versions verify your serial number via a registration server. I unfortunately had to do this as the pirates were flying their thief flag high! You are able to block this by either using a blocker as Reborn Lion mentioned or by adding the following line to your hosts file.

127.0.0.1 register.growassistant.com

I'm sorry, I don't understand what request your making

yes... I would love to release this for Linux... I don't see it happening anytime soon though... I've been putting alot of my efforts into creating the dispensary version that will allow users to work on the grow room/s at the same time.... this will require a onsite computer running filemaker server/client software.
